He was also lookinf to offload out of the tackle. We need to learn to do this like Toulouse so we have an all around game. He looks class I am excited and he will take the pressure of Goode. Goode will gain look good.
I'm astonished that he started after a week at the club. I'm glad he's got some game time in, but I'm not sure that Toulouse in the Heineken cup is a good time to help a new player out with his fitness, even if it is Mauger.

He is a professional on £300K per year so he had better be ready. Having not played since the RWC it was going to be difficult but he has had a week so he has to show himself next week. If McAlister can do it then so should he - given the conditions.

Not the greatest debut we've ever seen at Welford Road however as everyone says given the circumstance perhaps we could not have expected more.
