Chanting at the Tigers
Us tigers fans are clearly the best in the premiership, probably even the world, but i think we need some better chants? Heres a few ideas:
To the tune of 'bread of heaven': "Feed varndell and he will score! Feed varndell and he will score"
To the tune of Papa's got a bran new pigbag:
du du dudu, Geordan Murphy/Martin Corry/Lewis Moody
Also: Superrr, Super Dan, Superrr, Super Dan, Suuperrr, Super Dan! Super Danny Hipkiss!
Wot do u think?

Welcome to the forum bleedredwhiteandgreen, but a word to the wise - The topic of Tigers songs and chants gets brought up once a month, so most people are a little weary of it to say the least. You weren't to know, but if anyone's reply is less than complimentary, you'll understand why!
No new songs will ever be introduced. Ever.

As you know Littlefeat, there have been certain elements of the crowd, particularly in the Crumbie near the 22 that have been singing this for years before, during and after games.littlefeat wrote:I'm pretty certain we could adapt the words to Close to you by the Carpenters. No doubt Mr WL will have a view.
I've even heard apocrophyl tales of song sheets being handed out on trains to encourage a spirit of Tigerhood...!
Perhaps we need to ditch the machismo surrounding our chants, move away from looking for aggresive football songs and get a little bit of kitch in our lives. Bring on the Carpenters, get sexy with some Right Said Fred, say hello sailor to some Michael Jackson and wave top of the morning to Wogan's Floral Dance.
That's the kind of stuff that gets the blood soaring through the veins, pumps up the players and is good to listen to when you are filing that particularly nasty broken nail...!

I'm the one in the Tigers shirt on the 22. You can't miss me...!
Am I the only one who accepts the horrible, horrible truth?
As fans we are friendly, welcoming and as a rule pretty knowledgable. But did anyone hear the atmosphere at the Edinburgh game? It was like a funeral! Granted, most Tigers fans are approaching death rather rapidly, but that's no excuse to not get behind your side.
If we're in front then we're loud. If we're struggling then we're moaning at Goodey and whinging at the Ref.
And for the record I think Frankie and Goodey are having a solid season.
Feel free to write songs, hand out leaflets, even run out naked onto the pitch and demand a new song, but as long as people like the couple in front of me who have never EVER spoke during the last five years at a Tigers game continue to attend, you haven't a hope in hell of it catching on.
