He's been superb of late, but then all of our backrow have been. Moody's a shoe in at the moment imo, as is Corry, and given that i'd like to see more of Croft, i guess that forces Corry to 8 and Crane to the bench. If that is what happens, he has to come on as an impact player....given that he rampages round the park for 80 minutes, imagine what he'd do when legs are a bit tired and he's fully fresh!! I'm not advocating this as a regular tactic though, as i think he should really get as much game time as possible to keep his sterling progress going forward, i just feel that we need a really sharp backrow for scrounging ball vs Sale, and that Croft, Moody and Corry have all proven adept at that over the past few weeks, whereas Crane is primarily a go to ball carrier.

I don't know whom I would select for the game, but I will say this.

Sale is going to test us. That side is going to be very tough the rest of the way.

To me, this game and the GP game we have with them soon will provide some real indication of how well we are keeping up with teams that are deeply talented in the backfield and can also match up well up front.

Unfortunately, Setanta is not carrying the game at all, so I will not be able to see it.

From afar, I hope to see that Tigers have laid down a marker saying that they can compete with these high octane teams!
Just a Yankee looker-on from afar.

Difficult to guess a team if you don't know who is fit!

If all fit:
1 Ayerza
2 Chuter
3 White
4 Deacon
5 Wentzel
6 Croft
7 Moody
8 Crane
9 Murphy
10 Humphreys (Surely he must play this week!!!)
11 Tuilagi
12 Rabeni
13 Smith
14 Varndell
15 G Murphy

16 Kayser
17 Young
18 Corry
19 Herring
20 Youngs
21 Vesty
22 J Murphy.
To win is not as important as playing with style!

Having seen the Sharks line up I would now change my suggestion with the Toulouse game in mind

Cozza drops to the bench only to be used in emergency with his place taken by L Deacon, Kay steps up to the bench to replace him

White and Moreno swap places - again resting White as Sheridan not playing

Johne Murphy replaces Tuilagi

Team now reads

Ayerza
Chuter
Moreno

L Deacon
Wentzel
Croft
Moody
Crane

F Murphy
Goode
Varndell
T Youngs
Hipkiss
J Murphy
G Murphy

Bench
Kayser
White
Corry
Abraham
B Youngs
Vesty
Tuilagi
