The Way Forward?

Post by Bill W »

I have been out of the country on two occasions, in Jamaica and in Spain, in the last few months.

Have I missed the results of the RFU's consutation on "The Way Forward" documents?

Cannot find any reference to them anywhere - were they not supposed to be reported to the RFU Council?

They secret or something?

HELP!!!

Bill, whilst you were in Jamaica it was published that Baron had made a monumental mistake of judgement costing the rfu loads of money. :smt002

When you were in Spain it was announced that the amazingly high cost would be recovered from the much bigger bonus paid out to Baron for his leadership skills in taking England to the World Cup Final. :smt002 :smt002

But the results are still secret? Is there no review process? Have the highly paid consultants not produced a final report?

You could always do as I suggested last time you asked the same question Bill: Ask the RFU or Peter Wheeler.

I'm sure you'd get a more accurate response from one of them than from a club fans messageboard.

They, if anyone, will of course have seen the document you are asking about so they'd be the best people to ask.

Peter and the rest of the rfu council might or might not have chosen to share the contents of the alleged document with me.

They have chosen not to share it with club fans.

This is a total lack of transparency and an insult to the fans of Tigers and all other club fans.

And something that in the words of Winston "up with which we should not put!"

IMHO.

Why you are content with it I just do not know.

I'm content with it because the main purpose of the consultation was to reach a solution between the RFU & the clubs. So long as that is reached then I don't really care whether I personally see the Way Forward document results or not.

It wasn't produced for my benefit and, while it would have been nice to have seen the results it is far from essential. I certainly don't consider it an "insult" to the fans!
Have PRL shared their consultation results with the public? Do you feel that they have also "insulted" the fans by their similar lack of transparency?

You really need to get out more Bill.

Dave Angel, your first two paragraphs are fine as debating points. You let yourself down with the third paragraph!

Spain (twice), Holland, Kenya, Jamaica, New York and Vegas this year.
