I'll do my full team later but if it comes down to one of Kay or Deacon being taken then I'd take Deacon.

Ackford in the telegraph said "have borthwick, deacon and shaw really proved themselves enough to earn the spot along side kay?" implying he reckons kay should be a dead cert... interesting.

My sentiments exactly, must always remember to tow the line 8o) like :censored: hell, Say what you like Dorset, Korn will always have to have the last word, because he reads Rugby World- that means expert!!!

Very similar to iceman, although I'd much rather Cipriani than Noon and would include Charlie Hodgson if fit. Shaw v Deacon at lock is a toss up:

Props
Sheridan, Stevens, Vickery, White.
Hooker
Chuter, Regan, Mears as 3rd
Locks
(Corry), Kay, Palmer, Shaw/Deacon
Back Row
(Corry), Lund, Moody, Rees, Ward-Smith, Worsley. Easter on standby.

SH
Perry, Richards, Gommars as 3rd
FH
Hodgson, Wilko
Backs
Cipriani, Barkley, Catt (on the bench), Flood, Hipkiss, Lewsey, Robinson, Strettle, Tait

I'd have deacon in - IMO because he's the best lock in England. However, if those in power believe that he is on a par with, for example, Shaw/Borthwick/Palmer, then he should still be chosen ahead to partner Kay as a club pairing is more likely to work better, IMO. Can't be arsed to write 30 players out

do you use a forum much? because i like to think people read topic titles. I also pointed it out - and got a sarcastic response - but cant resist a good opportunity for a conflict can you?

good luck to your lad though.

p.s. - i only very very rarely read rugby world.
