And...best wishes for tomorrow from an Italian champion

Post by Angelo »

My best wishes to you all for tomorrow. But i fear SKY Italy will not transmit the HK final...what a miss :o(

Today, Benetton Treviso (my italian heart team) won his 13th Italian championship in a thrilling final vs. Arix Viadana. The first final that had his end after the extra time, and the first with TMO.

Benetton was under 12 points until the 30th minute of second half. The guys in white and green raised their head and tied the game with 2 tries and 1 conversion. And they scored another try against a Viadana penalty in extra time...Luckily for me, Viadana missed last pass in front of Benetton try at the end.

I wish you win without heart attacks like mine of today...and i'm sure of it

If you admit that the combination of yellow and blue is green, then it is a good week-end for green teams : Clermont won, in yellow and blue, against Bath (and next door to twickers).

Keep the faith !

Thanks for the support Angelo!

Do keep us updated with what is going on in the Italian championship (a bit late for this season I know, but next season), as I'm sure all Tigers fans would love to hear what is going on.

Perhaps you could tell us a little about one of your players that is due to sign for Tigers - Marco Wentzel?

I can say you that Marco Wentzel made a great season, giving a solid base to lineouts and stealing a lot from opponents, and a good base for scrums and open play. In the final, he trasformed himself as the italian Habana of the situation, with a 20 meters run tackle-breaking try, that started the revenge for Benetton.
Yes, if you sign him, i'm sure you'll make a big deal, and my only consolation is that he'll play for Tigers ;o)

And...ok, no problem for reports for the next season.

And, thanks for the honourary Tiger. I'm very pleased of it :mr.green:

Thanks Angelo! Sounds like Mr Wentzel will be another good signing for Tigers.
