£45.00 a ticket!

Post by BeaverBreath »

Even for a man of my considerable wealth, I think £45.00 is a bit steep... I don't remember paying this for a HC semi before?

Is this the norm or am I being particularly tight fisted?

You could always buy one of the £25 tickets if you don't want to pay £45, or even one of the £35 tickets.

All of the seats in the walkers have a pretty good view even the £25 ones. Just depends if you want an equal view of both ends of the field then pay £45 doesn’t really justify them being £20 more though.

From the cup semis thread:
Dave Angel wrote:Probably not. Our top priced tickets are probably being saved for our corporate members/directors/Academy VPs etc.

As for ticket prices, they are set by ERC and not by Tigers so they are outside of the club's control. However, as an indicator, when we played Toulouse at Walkers in the Semi Final a couple of seasons ago, ticket categories were £40, £30 & £20.
They were a tiny bit cheaper a few seasons ago. Not much though.

We (SCARLETS FANS) have had info that ticket brackets are 25,35,45,55 pounds... I only pay £43-£47 for international tickets... Anything more than £40 is OTT!

Scarlet-Al I agree the prices are very high.

Unfortunately though the clubs have no control and the ERC know the fans of two clubs such as Tigers & SCarlets will follow and support their teams still paying stupid prices.

They have us over the preverbial barrel!

I agree and personally it means more to me than an international.

Tigers is where I am week in week out, thats where my money goes and will continue to do so.

This is steep
One good thing for the scarlets fans though - their club is providing coaches to Leicester for £5 !
It is a lot further than 90 miles (approx distance to Twickers - Tigers please note !!!

This does mean more than an international means to me too...

BUT, as a result of the price, and other commitments (could get out of at a push) I don't think I'll be there...

Basically, I'd love to be there and if the TOP tickets were £35-£40 odd, I would be there... Don't want to pay £25 and get a cr@p seat... Not worth it then...

the £25 ones are not "cr@p" seats. They're the ones I'm going to queue up for on Thursday, that's for sure. They'll just be nearer the ground level. Just like where I stand at the moment. There are no rubbish seats in the Walkers.

If the stadium is full the ticket prices will have been set correctly or underpriced.

If the stdium is not full they will have been overpriced.

I wager it will be full!

And even at those prices, I can guarantee you that the Scarlets will be VERY well represented by their fans. Helped to a large extent by the subsidised transport provided by the Club.
