That would be really great I don't think that he is as good as Shane but he is a really good young player.

im quite interested to see what we can come up with in the world of open sides, but seeing as we've seen that moody, abraham can play either or and (yes nabuk im going to say it) flanker was actualy corry's original position. so we could sign any flanker or even number 8 world wide and then jig the back row around a bit. there are certain players who just won't move - like chabal, he must have be pushed and pulled by so many clubs but he remains at sale, jerry collins- despite my earlier comments, is probably a bit old, so we're going to have (probably) quite a selection to choose from, ive always thought that we(as a club) should send a few scouts out to places like america/south america and see if we can find some real gems in the minority's there - because there are bound to be some who dont get found because the sport is not that popular there, - or take a leaf out of the french book and scout argentina/paraguay/uraguay.

but only time shall tell to see who will replace shane, it will have to be somone who will be bale to play well with the team we have.

im as sarcastic as you :P i doubt he'd want to leave, he's such a force in new zealand, but then again so were spencer and umaga. McCaw is hated by some of his team mates - when they were stamping on his head an dgot banned... 3 of his own players stamping on his head!!!

Kornboy again!, where do you find this rubbish? McCaw hated by teamates? respected probably, hated I would think not, they seem to play well under him anyway...And the other Cr*p being posted, Noone? I doubt it! Mauger?- paper talk to probably get an improved deal with the New Zeland union. Sackey would be an Ok signing, I have freinds who are Wasp's season ticket holders and they all agree Erinle is a carthorse. I havent spoken to them since our interest was announced sure they will have a laugh at our expense  . There's not much wrong with the current squad, it's mid season lets stay in the present, and support the boys! stop drifting into lala land, there is a salary cap you know

so i assume you think that when 3 of his own crusaders players were cited purposley stampings on richie mcCaws head you look at it as a declaration of their love for him? he is clearly disliked by some of his crusader team mates - maybe not his all black team mates, but there are obviously some people out to get him.. i was also stating that he probably wouldnt move, which is what you're saying. I've said in another thread that i would'nt want erinle - he's a good player but we don't need him - and its my view and im stating it.
Mauger has been taken beyond the point of paper talk, theres a genuine interest- as simon cohen head of tigers relations stated himself that he was "hopefull about signing Aaron Mauger for after the world cup", jamie noon is a good player - and is out of contract at the end of the season. With newcastle currently in a dog fight to avoid relegation - who could blame him for moving either up the table, or up into the premiership if the get relegated? - everything ive said has been backed up by various sources! so ive take your advice, so instead of shoutign at me - have a look into what im saying and find something wrong with it!

Several points -

1. Dave Seymour is a specialist openside. Pat Howard claimed that he released Skinner as he could only play at 7 whereas Jennings, Abraham and Moody could all play 6 and 7, giving them more flexibility and alternatives. I suspect if PH is involved in the hunt, then you're looking at a bigger and more versatile player - Lipman and Lund have both played 6 for England.

2. Lund almost never plays at blindside for Sale. He has done for England, but only because Andy Robinson is an idiot. This is not because he CAN'T play 6, but that Sale have options there (White, JMF Lobbe, Jones, Bonner-Evans), whereas their only other options at 7 are JMF Lobbe (not so good) or youngsters Hills or Tait.

3 - Teammates have been banned for stamping on McCaw's head, but only when they were playing for the Blues against the Crusaders and he was trying to kill the ball. One of the culprits - unsurprisingly - was Ali 'Stampy' Williams. He picked up a long ban for it, only a matter of months after an IRB (NZ/AUS) disciplinary panel decided that there was no case to answer when he stamped 3 times on Josh Lewsey's face. Though, of course, there was no question of hypocrisy...

Kornboy, could you get confirmation from your source, please, that Mauger is GUARANTEED to not be coming to Leicester?

I have been told by a Tigers unofficial source that there are quite a few players and agents who are interested in talking to Leicester.

I have also been told to expect 3 or 4 signings after the RWC.
