Sanctimonious hypocrisy - reach for the sick bag.
No-one, indeed no-one ever commits a foul without anyone seeing but Leicester.

even as a fan tho i feel a bit embarrassed by it, it was clear cheating, and it kind of saved us from getting beaten

Funny how thuggery and dangerous high tackles get no mention, yet deft little touches on the ball get people all excited.

Weird.

I'm totally fed up by this. I can guarentee that any player in that situation would have done the same as Deacon, I'm not saying its not wrong, but it is part and parcel of the game - everyone does it. Even the benevolent Munster. But I suppose that everyone from other clubs will continue to state that Tigers have some academy where we teach all our players to cheat.

And good point on how the headbutt and ridiculous high tackle by Philips get no mention.

I agree, all teams play on the edge of the rules - maybe Tigers are just better at it than most...

Although that said, I don't think Blues put a straight ball into line-out or scrum this afternoon and were only penalised once - is that any worse than Deacon's infringement?

Players from all clubs do it. (yes, even those "whiter than white" Munstermen!)

The difference is that ones done by Leicester are highlighted more often now following the media hype over the Back incident which, incidentally, wouldn't even have got a mention from ANYONE had it not happened near the end of the game!

It's no worse than the Cardiff player dangerously grabbing Corry's leg in the lineout so that he couldn't land properly, no worse than a hand on the floor knocking the ball away in a ruck, no worse than a defender blocking an attacker as he chips ahead for the line etc.

All are penalty offences.

All are cynical.

All can easily change a game or stop a scoring opportunity.

All are committed by players in every match in every competition, every week.

However, the referees don't always spot them and the media rarely hype them up unless they involve Leicester. As Stuart Barnes said this afternoon, he doesn't blame Deacon for what he did & knows that anyone would have done the same thing in his position.

The only difference is that opposition fans love to trot out the stock phrase that Tigers are all cynical cheats and that their team <insert team here> are pure asthe driven snow & never commit such offences.

If anyone thinks that their team never commits such offences then they are almost certainly both blind and stupid!

Strange!!

No mention of the high tackle on George Chuter that could have disabled him!!

Get real folks. All sporting sides play on the edge... Get used to it.

As Phil B quite rightly says. Chuter almost gets decapitated by their No9 and nothing is said or done. Yet Deacon does what any other player ( EVEN MUNSTER) would have done and a mountain is made of it.

If you can get away with fair enough if you don't then you get penalised. Just stop whining about it and move on.(And by that last statement I am referring to those who come on here from other clubs who whine incessantly about the Tigers and how they are always cheating)

everyones jealous of us because we're the only team to have the intestinal fortitude to back up what everyone says

every club says they'll do whatever they can to win

we're the only club that dares go out and really do it
Never mind the ball, get on with the game!!

im not saying munster are perfect or that cardiff werent in the wrong at times. i just think its awful when things like that happen at the end of the game and possibly lose it for the other team.

cardiff werent cynical though, just stupid.
