its not many sets of fans you ll find go silent for kicks. it is disrespectful, but part and parcel of the way rugby is going, especially in the UK.

i was impressed by the quiet from leicester fans last week. obviously there was the odd few who find the necessity to make noise, but on a whole it was very respectful. in that sense, i see the similarity between the munster and leicester fans.

The Cardiff fans may have been disrespectful, but Tigers won!! There is some justice after all.

One word 'Welsh' two words 'NOT Tigers'.  Nah. its just the way the game's going I suppose, Shame, but there it is. So long as WR remains the bastian of decorum.

and any other Welsh or half-Welsh people too :D

I think there are very few places nowadays who ask for silence when the kicks take place, maybe a sad decline in showing respect, but then I do sometimes ask myself if it actually does make a difference to the kicker? Maybe someone should ask Goodey when they get a chance.

i think its actually quite unnerving for some kickers when it goes quiet, they arent used to it. worked last year when the perpignan out half had a melt down everytime people were quiet.

Just because the crowd at welford rd are quiet for kicks at goal by both side don't expect it everywhere you go.

Although the silence at WR is respectful, it doesn't happen at many other grounds in the premiership and if you think our french cousins keep quiet for kicks then its obvious that you've never been to a French ground for a domestic or european game.

Its something that players just have to deal with and Leicester coped with quite well. I'd be surprised if they were bothered one way or the other.

I won't take the anti-welsh bias in this thread personally, its just that the thin veneer of english respectability falls away very quickly whenever there's a tigers- wales game.

However had a great day out in cardiff, met some mates had a few pints in the cayo before & after the game and enjoyed the atmosphere at the ground - booing as well.

Can't wait to be back there next saturday for the wales-australia game.

ya its really more unusual to find quiet grounds than loud ones. it does annoy me when we go away though, because we are guaranteed to show respect and stay quiet at the home game.
