Rugby on TV
As requested, here's a sticky post for anyone to post details of rugby on TV - not necessarily just the Tigers' games. Please post as much information as you can - time, day and date, and channel (plus number if on Sky/satellite channels).

Friday night rugby coming up (6th):
Leinster v Munster, 7 pm, Setanta Ireland. 434 on Sky (I don't think Setanta Ireland is available on ntl).
Repeated at 9.30 pm on Setanta Sports 1, 429 on Sky.
(Glasgow v Borders is also on ..... but so what ?)
Newcastle v Scarlets, 7.10 pm, BBC2 Wales, 991 on Sky. This is in English.
Note that Setanta is a subscription sports package, £15 pm on Sky (also available, with fewer channels, on ntl).

http://www.tvtv.co.uk is very good for everything! You can search for anything and it always finds the rugby! It's a good idea to create your own profile though! You can then find french (etc) channels (to watch the french league etc)...

I see the main match on Sunday (8th) is Wasps again (v London Irish) - BBC 2.
Next weekend's main matches:
Friday - Worcester v Glaws (Sky). Oh, and a couple of Scottish Districts will be getting thumped on Setanta !
Saturday - Ulster v Cardiff (Setanta and S4C)
Sunday - Wasps (again  ) v Newcastle (Sky).
HEC starts with a cracker on Friday 20th; Ospreys v Sale (Sky).

Rugby on TV
According to the Sky website they are not showing any Guiness Premiership matches on Saturday, just Friday evening and Sunday afternoon - what is going on?

Its not free, but the French 14 is very well covered on Setanta. In English !GT1 wrote:SC4 must be showing more rugby than anyone except sky, its the only channel I have found that shows the french league, all you need to watch it is a dish(it is free on 135) & a mute button.
Mind, I do find S4C's commentary better than Butler and Moore's.

To be fair to Sky Sports, their live events on Saturday is quite a long list: the NPC semi final (Waikato v Otago, 0730 Sky Sports Xtra), the Currie Cup final (Free State Cheetahs v Blue Bulls, 1530 Sky Sports 3), West Indies v Sri Lanka in the ICC Champions Trophy (cricket), two rugby league matches (one of them the Super League Grand Final, the other an international), three football matches (including one on PPV), and two golf tournaments.
They haven't got unlimited time or staff, and they are showing six live rugby union matches in each of the next two weekends. On Saturdays like this one, they can't please everyone.
