Leicester v Harlequins - Predictions Please

Post by tigermad »

Leicester take on Harlequins and their former number 8 and coach Dean Richards at the Stoop on Saturday. It should be a cracking game but I predict a Tigers win.. What are your thoughts guys? What about the possible XV to face Quins?

TIGERS TO ROAR AT THE STOOP

 8) 8)  :P

Well, if you were too look at the players of both teams, we should win hands down.

However, given our less than perfect away record, and Quins need to win a match who would put money on us. I'm going down for the evening and am looking forward to seeing the game.

As for the team, this is the one I'd like to see.

Castro
Chuter
White
Kay
Hamilton
Deacon
Corry
Moody/Abraham (Moody's got a bad hand??)

Bemand
Goode (Humphry bust be pushing him)

Tuilagi
Gibbo/Vesty (Don't know if Gibbo's foreign or not this week)
Smith (Looked sharp on monday so say)
Murphy/Vardell
Murphy/Vesty

Quins to feel Tigers backlash.

45 - 23 bonus point win to Tigers.

Castro man of the match (if he's playing).

I've got everything that it's possible to cross, crossed!!

Right I'm not being negative here ok. But it really depends on what Tigers team turn up.

Are Tigers going out to lose all away games or just a few?( Given that is PH philosophy). If it's to lose a few then this is a game away from home that Tigers must win. I would like to see Harry and Humphries start this week with Burke on the bench and let them have a proper run out. I hope Ollie and Daryl get the centre pairing and Murphy and Lloyd on the wings. FB you don't need to change as Vesty is the man. I would like to see Hickie start with Cabbage on the bench and I would like to have a 6 and 7 of Crane and Jennings. Thats about it from me I will no doubt be totally wrong.

As for the score I will stick with the same prediction as normally. It will be a DRAW.( Well I will get one right eventually)

I'd have to say away win here. Although I think its only a matter of time before Quins start to win a few games (just hope it doesn't start this weekend!)

I'd say it'll be close as I think the Tigers defence isn't quite up to scratch yet and the backs need more get-up and go. For that reason I'd like to see:

Castro
Chuter
Moreno
Hamilton
L Deacon
B Deacon
Jennings
Corry

Bemand
Humphries
Tuilagi
Gibson
Smith
Rabeni
Murphy

Bench: Hickie, Holford, Cullen, Crane, Vesty, F Murphy, Varndell

Castro
chuter
white
l deacon
kay
b deacon
jennings
corry

bemand

varndell
hipkiss

G murphy

Tigers to win 27- 19

The team i would like to see is:

Castro
Chuter
White
Kay
Hamilton
Jennings
Moody
Corry

Bemand
Goode
Varndell
Smith
Hipkiss
Alesana Tuilagi
Murphy

I also think that the final score will be 28 - 17 as that is about the best we can achive away from welford road
football is holigans acting like gentlemen,
rugby leage is gentlemen actin like hooligans,
and RUGBY UNION IS HOOLIGANS ACTING LIKE HOOLIGANS!

So far Ive got all my predictions wrong this season. I think LT are due a good 80 minute game. If thats the case they have enough to beat Quins. Just a hunch, nothing scientific or anything. LT need a result to stay in touch, hope Burkey comes on and kicks the winner.....Hold on I'm getting carried away now. Time for bed I think

Plenty of trys! neither side exactly defending well at the moment.
Think Tigers will have been training like demons this week! They
will have felt robbed of their win and i'm sure PH cockers and
Backy would have been letting them know this. Harlequins are
probs facing a crisis of confidence at the moment stuffed last
weekend, by what i think will be a midtable Wasps.

Tigers 32 Quins 19. Too much has been made of Abbot and
merthens the rest of the team are not premiership standard
expecting them to be relegated early this year.

Agree with your prediction, but don't think Tigers will have felt robbed. Think they're probably feeling lucky to get out with a draw! Cockers and PH will have given them a rollocking this week. Think there's a bit more to Quins than just 2 players (albeit very influential players) and think Worcester will go down before Quins.
