My point was, really, that there is a worldwide shortage of world class number 10s... as Pat Howard said (apparently) in the members evening. I'm not saying that Goode is amazing, nor that he is playing very well at the moment, just that he's nowhere near as bad as people make out here and some of the suggestions as replacements I believe are definately not worth it.

Would still be interested to see who is rated as "world class" fly halves?

Hi Pellsey

I cannot think of a better British & Irish FH than Charlie Hodgson, other than a fully fit Wilko (and even then I'm not sure who would come top nowadays). A slight reservation over his defence, but a better all round game than Stephen Jones or O'Gara..... or for that matter Carlos (who is world class going forwards).

I reckon that rates him as 'world class', IMO.

would be nice to at least have ian on the bench, bring him on more regularly & then really see what he can (or can't) do
