How confident are people that we can get off to a good start on sunday? Couldnt pick tougher opposition but playing them first up and home got to be a good thing. I would imagine Tigers will really be up for this one both in terms of laying down a marker for the season and the fact its Sale and the horrid memories of Twickers in May.

I would always back us at home against anyone. Sale is a very tough start but we have had all summer to stew over the embarrasment that Sale dished out to us at Twickenham, and the players will want to settle a score. Plus we always seem to play very well in the first game of the season.

I think it will be a great game and anything can be better than twickers. Just changing the subject i am a big fan of jason robinson but the tiger boys will be the best people on the pitch

1st (premiership) match of the season results:
01/02 - lost at Newcastle.
02/03 - lost at Leeds.
03/04 - won (home to Irish).
04/05 - lost at Sale.
05/06 - won (home to Saints).
Makes you glad we are at home, doesn't it ?!

Now I was going to challenge Iain's assertion. I was at Headingly in 2002 - but discretion lead me to merely assert a positive!!!
WE ARE AT HOME!!!

............................He who expects nothing is never dissapointed!
I won't be surprised if Sale win! I'll be delighted if the Tigers get off to the good start we need.

In fact, you hit the "burgundy" or whatever they call it that the away shirt is trimmed with. It's a conspiracy.

It is Gate, it is!!!
Nasty horrible French colour burgundy!!!
Although the wine is quite drinkable. Bottle of Beaune goes down very well with a nice pink leg of lamb!!!
