Standing at Bath?

You poor souls!

The only bit of terracing they have at the Rec is tiny, stuck right in one corner, and behind the tryline.

i have always said they should not charge so much for seats in the open. Last season it rained all match but i was lucky to be in a hospitality box.

The Rec must be the worst stadium in the Premiership. If (please G*d) they get relegated they will never ever meet the requisite standards to get promoted!

I agree that the Rec is an embarassment, and Bath fans would agree. I don't know the details, but understand that planning permission for any developing is well nigh impossible.

But Bill, surely it wouldn't be the same without Tigers-Bath fixtures ?? For that reason alone, I hope they stay up (which they will).

Conflict with the auld enemy is indeed something of a tradition, dailywaffle.

I do think it would do them good to get relegated though if only to force them to do something about the recreation ground.

My understanding aligns with yours. The rec is owned by city council I think and deeds do not allow building on it. Bath did own a hige chunk of land out by the motorway and there once was a plan to relocate there. However, when the game went professional they sold it and it now has houses on it I believe.

Dave - had no choice, it was that or nothing. The tickets state that there is terracing behind the try line as weel as in the corner - so hoping for good weather as well as good result

We arent going as somehow the ticket office lost our request to go on a waiting list 5 weeks ago and the regretfully advised that all unsold tickets had beeb returned to Bath.

And then they wonder why we lose faith and use the other clubs ticket offices directly?

Im going with the Bakers Arms mob. Lovely City Bath but I've heard the ground is a bit dodgy. Hope the beer is better than Welford Rd. Cant be any worse.
