Confident?

Post by Iain »

Last Friday we got our first look at the team at Welford Road this year after what seemed to be a succesful tour of France and an impressive Sevens showing. How do you feel going into the season?

I'm guessing that g hasn't voted yet as there's still no votes for the "VERY concerned" option yet.

Well from the reports I've read so far. Dropping balls, running sideways it looks like Tigers are carrying on from where they left off from last season.

No point me voting as I will only be able to make one or two games.

But just like last season I will let you know when the season has ended then I can tell you all that I was right. AGAIN.

Confident with the new signings and the form of some of the young players pre-season. Especially in the forwards, and with competition at fly half. I also expect to maintain good results during the 6 nations with the quality of our squad as a whole.

Come on the Tigers!

I'm glad you keep posting on here g.

Every time I read your doom & gloom posts it reminds me that my life could be a lot lot more miserable than I had ever previously imagined!

Very confident. New signings looked good last Friday, injury problems for players like Seru and Henry seem to be cleared, and I am going into the season confidently believing in my team and the coaching crew.

And Bill W has clearly worked out how to vote more than once !

Other than for reasons of blind faith, one can't really be 'very confident' until we prove that we can win the big games. But I would expect us to be at the business end of the table.

i am being extremely optimistic about saints' coming season, so i put the top option :D
Donncha O'Callaghan and Bruce Reihana are the best players that ever lived. Don't even bother to argue with me.

And - however good Imanol Harinordoquy is, he is still an idiot

I think we will definately qualify for the playoff's, will we win the title though, erm well that all depends on whether we will ever perform well in a final

I think a number of players will be either slightly better or much better than they were last season.

Please God don't let any get worse!

Usually I am pretty confident at this time of the year, but this year I have an awkward, nervous feeling in my gut.

Now it could just be gas, but it could be a concern that we have not moved on enough after last seasons ultimate failure.
