Black Away Shirts

Post by DTM »

Just out of interest, how many times were the black shirts worn for proper games?

I don't know the actual amount, but it was barely worn at all at away fixtures, due to the clash with many premiership home shirts. :)

A nice shirt though.

Black Shirts.....

Post by DTM »

Thanks,

Silly question, but do they have a patch on the back with a number on (as with the other shirts), or is the number attached directly to the shirt?

The reason I ask is because I want a name and number on the back of my shirt and I would like it as authentic as possible.....

Cheers

I brought the away shirt in match quality a few seasons back. The name and number is not printed onto a white patch as is the case with all the other shirts; it is just printed in white straight onto the black shirt material. :)

It was printed direct on to the white space on the back of the shirt.

However, there were also other subtle differences between actual playing shirts used by Tigers and the "playing quality" ones you could buy in the shop that cannot be replicated.

Tigers made a mess up of that marketing strategy by not reading the rules when they brought the black shirt in.
