No I didn't but saw the report on my mobile. Considering the All Blacks made a slow start and were down at half-time its a good result. They might want to hit the ground running a bit quicker in the World Cup though!
At the moment the AB machine shows no sign of slowing down and they are justifying their favourites tag.

Did you put any money on the result then? Even short odds are good when the result is not in doubt. As the aussies led for a while, and could of won. Not quite the forgone conclusion you indicate. BTW does this mean you wont be 'arsed' to watch Tigers when you feel that they will win?Tiger Eye wrote:couldn't have been arsed. We all knew who the winners would be...

i think it was the fact that it was half 6 in the morning that people didn't watch, not that they would win[/quote]Hans Hullabaloo wrote:quote]

I only commented on what was said on here. If it was the reason for not watching the game, then why would they give another?
I am aware of what time the game was played as I got upto watch it meself.
I intended to head to my parents to watch it but had a mare as I left the flat on my way to Welford Road on Friday night, locking myself out and having to wait until the following morning to get a spare set from the landlord! Ended up going for a few beers and crashing at a mates. Doomed to miss it unfortunately!

Quite right. The Kiwis still look like the form team, even though their back line did not play that well against the Aussies this time.
But did anyone feel a sense of irony watching and listening to New Zealanders complaining about a dangerous spear tackle? Tuqiri has now been (quite rightly) suspended for 5 weeks after being (quite rightly) sighted. I would never stick up for Tuqiri, cos quite frankly I can't stand the man, but he may have grounds to feel hard done by after the punishment given to Tana and his henchman last year.
McCaw was spear tackled by one player and stayed down for a bit, probably seeing stars, then got up and finished the game. O'Driscoll was spear tackled by two players, suffered a horrible career threatening injury, went off, had surgery, missed the rest of the tour and took a long time to recover. Spot the difference?
