Toulon game tonight

Post by Rizzo »

since there is now the Chinese v Leics Barbarians match beforehand at 6.30pm, I've checked with the Tigers office and gates open at 5.45pm.

Bring waterproofs, it looks likely to rain during the evening!

It's raining in Leicester now

BBC/Met Office are never that reliable but it's always good to Be Prepared!

I lstenned on the radio.

Our defence was :censored:.

Our forwards played well. Our backs lacked incision.

Plus ca change plus c'est la meme chose!

Not until they tired did we establish supremacy.

Tired? Bill , from halfway through the first half they were dropping like flies, rolling around and the amount of spray stuff used would have made another hole in the ozone layer! I have to say they slowed the game down a lot doing this, of course injuries happen, people get cramp etc, but the stoppages were IMO excessive, and their trainers were on and off the pitch like they were on elastic! At one point the play actually almost fell on the trainer spraying one Toulon player.

However it didn't rain during the match, the crowd may be been low in numbers but made a lot of noise, and some of our players looked darned good in my opinion.

Nice touch to see all the Chinese guys come into the stands to watch the Tigers v Toulon game - all wearing Tigers shirts!

Gibbo was awesome, as usual. Tom Croft didn't get a chance to show what he can do. Matt Smith played well. Luke Abraham was storming. Tom V didn't get a chance to hit his speed. Alex Moreno stood out for me as well.

I was at the game and I have to say I was impressed with a lot of the guys although I was slightly concerned with Mr Smith in the centre....he played well but not in my eyes well enough.

Hopefully after Seru Rabeni's display people with shut up and see that he is back and playing really well.

Well done Andy Goode for losing a stone. That is not easy and I know he must have found it hard in relation to diet and training. Hopefully he will start to feel the benefit fom it.

Burke looks like he has found a new lease of life as well, he looked like he was 21 again bless him...lol

My only negative was, I hate to say it.....Harry Ellis. His pas was good and his running lines and sniping were very good but I am not a fan of him charging in on the fly half there was no need fo rit in the second half and I hope that Yan Delague is ok.
