Full Back seems an odd position to play Rabeni in? Has he ever played their? and what is his best position? as I've only seen him on the wing and he looked good there.

I hope Pat isn't going to start playing players out of position.

Sam Vesty is listed at 15. Geordan or Seru are listed to play at 11.

Plenty of times actually. In the NPC and Super 12, and also for Fiji. Some considered it at the time to be his natural position.

And if I remember rightly didn't he play at 15 away at Saints in a league game when he looked totally out of his depth.

I hope Howard plays players in there natural positions not experiment by playing them where they look totally uncomfortable.

Seru had a great game for the Islanders at 15. The thing was he didnt kick.

He took Australia by suprise and ran the ball. Stepped a couple of players and took them up to the half way line with aparent ease.

He can kick though and has even popped over a few conversions.

Seru is a big Austin Healey he can fit anywhere on the back line. I would say that he is a very good inside centre though he has got great hands and a superb step. Ok so he is not as quick as he was but im sure as soon as he knee heels properly we will see some magic.

By his own admission he said he does not play on the wing very often because there are some faster players in teh Fiji squad..Rupeni Cacau for one.

Let be fair here, he's unfit, just had a serious injury and his first game back isn't exactly the most important one is it. And also he looked better earlier on and as the minuates and games put a pounding on his fitness he got worse. Give him time guys!

Having only seen him play at full back at the aforementioned away match at Northampton, I can only suggest he never plays there again. He is not good under the high ball, and his kicking from hand is poor (perhaps Goodey has been giving him lessons?).

He is very good at making breaks (as he did in the 7s) and one of the centre positions is the perfect fit for him. We definitely missed his line breaking ability last year, though Hipkiss did begin to promise but was cut short by injury. Gibbo is not really a line breaker either, more of a smasher.

Clearly Seru needs to work hard to improve his fitness, but I hope he does as he adds alot to the team - he'd have defo scored in the HC Semi vs Bath.

IMHO sevens is a pre season bit of fun, sure its nice to see your team win it and it always hurts losing to wasps but the real battle starts from september onwards, we're still a few weeks away from that. when i first went running again after many months hardly being able to even work do you think i went out and ran 10 miles sprinting?? nope of course not, it takes time to build up confidence and fitness, even if you're out there not consciously thinking about it its always there in your subconscious. seru did good in the sevens considering. if he doesn't get another injury he could well be a serious weapon this season. i'm with Lea.

Mortensen is cool 8)
