Premiership fixtures announced

Post by Iain »

On the home page of this website. Where are all these Friday games you were worried about then?

I think Iain you will find that this time last season all the fixtures were Saturday games. And then all of a sudden we had more Friday games than Saturday. So as you well know there is still plenty of time for all these fixtures to change.

Does this not at least confirm to you that Friday's aren't their preferred day though??

It doesn't confirm anything actually. They have to put a day and time down on the fixture list so obviusly they will put a Saturday down. It means absolutely squit all as Tigers know that there is a likelihood that these fixtures will change.

Also, whilst we may know a likely SKY plan before XMAS, we don't know what their televised plan is after then so there could still be some changes. Even before then may be a possibility as last season showed that SKY aren't adverse to late changes of televised matches! I think that happened with our game at Saints for instance?

Personally, I'm dissapointed there's so few Friday matches. Saturday afternoon doesn't suit everyone. Ah well, I'll get over it.

On the members form that was sent out last week it did state that all of these games & times are confimed but could be changed at a later date, so i think there might well be a few more friday games at WR to come this season

Spot on G. Shame on you Iain stirring the pot up. You know full well that Tigers' preference is Saturday - we all do, but that guarantees nothing. There could still be many Friday games as a result of City, Sky and HC. I don't like it, but nothing I can do except continue to voice my opinion on the subject, which I know is geting boring. So no need to tell me!!

Interesting that a lot of the Saturday Fixtures are slated to start at 2:45 instead of 3pm

- Do you think that is to avoid potential clashes with the Footie?

- if so it seems like a good idea to me....

Nice thought, but I would not think so - 15 minutes time difference isn't much.

check out the city web site and you'll see that the 2.45 kick offs are the same days as city home matches. I just hope they don't change their mind and move them later on

I used to prefer Saturday/Sunday games and always thought the team played better in the afternoon but that’s because I’m used to watching them in daylight. I don't dislike Friday matches though as long as the team are playing :)
