agreed... to be fair (and i'm no O's fan), they play an exciting, open style of rugby and would much rather watch them than some of the slugfests in the GP :roll:Osprey in Leicester wrote:I cant agree with you there Im afraid, every league has its fair share of boring turgid battles but last season I seem to recall seeing a lot more than usual in the guiness premiership.

Half agree too .... the O's do try to play open rugby, and carte blanche criticism of them indicates (probably) a lack of seeing them actually play.
Don't necessarily agree about the GP, though. I thought the latter stages of last season saw some excellent stuff. The really bad games tended to be when the weather was at its worst.

Confirms what my mate told me on the phone after chatting with his agent.
Aparently Gibbes is being linked with the All Blacks especially after his showing for the Maori.

You may or may not be right, but the all blacks have just changed their entire team to face Argentina and Gibbes isnt even on the bench. Either that is a sign that he has joined the O's or he simply isnt wanted by Henry.Lea wrote:http://www.planet-rugby.com/Tournaments ... 1881.shtml

I don't think he was ever actually fully announced by the club. If he was I certainly don't recall an official statement being made. I think it was reported that he had agreed a contract but reneged on that agreement at the last minute when he won his All Blacks place back off Carlos Spencer. Who while we're on the subject of reneging on agreements to join Tigers......Lea wrote:Erm I have to disagree there..
Mehrtens was announced and then went back to NZ
