Wow! What a response. Glad this is an issue that people are keen to resolve…

2] Is it not possible if you stand up to see between the gaps of people. As the people infront are below you surely this wouldnt be so much of a problem [obviously here i am only guessing].
3] I hope Tigers sort Stadium issues out soon!
4] I'm sorry if I got i restricted yur view!
1] Once they’ve scored I agree. But it’s a lot easier if you haven’t seen it.
2] Works when everyone sits down as there are gaps between the heads. But bodies are wider than heads…
3] So do I! Glad we’re staying at WR though!
4] No problem! You seem to have taken it on board. Spread the good word!
tigerstotty wrote:For god's sake, not again. Yes, I leapt to my feet when a try was scored - i can't help it, ITS CALLED EXCITEMENT, ENTHUSIASM, whatever you like. I'm glad and proud to be a Tigers fan,
I’m a very proud tigers fan also! In fact, I’d be confident enough to say there’s not many people get more excited, enthusiastic, verbal, at a game than I do.
tigerstotty wrote: I'm just sorry that, like the RFU this board seems to be filled with boring old farts
I’m only 21!
The Countess of Welford wrote:Whilst I am not in the full flush of youth, I get excited during the match, jump up and down at appropriate moments, shout, scream and have a whale of a time.Everyone near me is the same.
It seems that many fans just want to sit watching the game with their arms folded, tutting at people who so much as cough or fart and who dare to question the ref. The same sanctomonious folk also moan when certain players are replaced ( Oh no, Leon's come on. Well ,yesterday paid to that!). You would think that they were actually forced to watch a match as a punishment and are not ST holders at one of the best clubs in the world.
Doesn’t include me. I refer you to
http://www.tigers.co.uk/forum/viewtopic ... highlight= to show how irate I get when we let the boys down.
The Countess of Welford wrote:If they don't like it, then I think they should let their tickets go to somebody on the ever growing waiting list who would actually appreciate going to WR, then they could sit at home in front of the tv with their great view and whinge on to themselves for a change.
I presume you’re referring to the silent supporters club here. As above, I make as much noise as anybody, more than many!
tigerstotty wrote:Did I say I stood before a try was scored? NO I DID NOT. But the original poster of this thread wants people to remain glued to their seats throughout the whole match.
Another incorrect assumption.
tigerstotty wrote:As for losing my balance, why would I? I'm fit, healthy and not prone falling over…
Even when the 10 rows behind you have fallen, knocking you over…?
tigerstotty wrote:I would like official word from the club that UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES MUST ANYONE LEAP UP TO SHOW THEIR APPRECIATION OF GOOD PLAY CULMINATING IN A TRY. Yeah, right.
Culminating in a try – how do you know until the ball has been grounded? We saw proof of that from TV yesterday!
tigerstotty wrote:As for the terrace, no thanks, been there and done it once and you can't see half the :censored: pitch!
Welcome to my world!
tigerstotty wrote:I know, for those of us who are going to Twickenham, lets all remain in our seats the whole way through the match, and please don't start shouting or chanting because you might just offend my very delicate hearing.
See above link – you better not! I will be there, horn, whistle etc making as much noise as possible to make up for the silent ones.
tigerstotty wrote:And if Tigers win the cup, lets remain seating, keep our traps shut and offer polite applause.
Won’t happen if what you suggest above does.
Rizzo wrote:stand up WHEN a try is scored, jump, sing, shout, wave etc to celebrate and commend good play etc - ACCEPTSBLE
stand up BEFORE a try is scored - thereby blocking other people's view - UNACCEPTABLE.
Exactly!
Phil B wrote:I would suggest that if you cannot stand up, or do not want to, then after however many years of watching rugby, you would find a seat behind the posts a better option?
Not at all. Can’t stand watching the game from there.
Why should I switch seats after 16 years, just because of the selfishness of others?
4 wrote:I believe that it is safely pragmatic to asume that with people standing up to cheer a try, or event etc, then it will not be a safety issue.
You mention the ripple effect – same would happen if one person fell over!
dailywaffle wrote:If only there was a nearby stadium that we could use, that had unobstructed views and a nice high eye line. ;)
Sshhh! Don’t give anyone ideas! We want to stay at WR for the atmosphere!
Goffer3404 wrote:Sorry folks, if you want to get armchair view throughout the game, then I suspect that you'll either have to watch games with a lesser following, or watch on the telly.
Not what I’m asking for. Simply a view of the game would be nice, as it’s going to cost me £300 next year for the privilege.
westwinds31 wrote:when Geordan Murphy was steaming after the ball, I naturally levitated…
Really? You should be on tele!
westwinds31 wrote:such was my joy at a superb piece of skill and another try for the Tigers.
Ah, I heard about that. Couldn’t see though. Care to talk me through it?
Big_Johnno wrote:TOO RIGHT!
I'm the same at the football games as I am at the rugby, if i feel a try or goal about to happen I stand up because I'm a passionate supporter, I can't just sit there smiling and clapping when we score, maybe you don't feel as much for the club but for me there's nothing better at a rugby/football game.
Once we’ve scored, I’ll join you.
And yes, I bet I feel as much/more for the club!
4 wrote:It certainly wasnt a minority in the cumbie yesterday. everyone bar a few were on their feet. the ones that were not, to my knowledge, did not complain
Yes we did, but with that many, it has no effect.
I’ll make my opening point again. If everyone sits down, everyone can see. Once the try has been scored and there’s nothing to see, stand up, cheer etc until the conversion if you like! Just don’t fall over…
Making as much noise when we’re on our own 5meter line would be even better – the boys need the support there more than they do once they’ve scored!
