Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)
We won two European finals playing two fullbacks at 14&15. Think we need to stick to Steward and Shillcock together for the rest of the season and probably next. Steward chasing kicks could be a real weapon like Roebuck is for Sale. Hopefully next season Kelly finds his mojo with Perese and poss...

Personally don’t get this move Steward to centre idea. Agree with everything people have said about the shift on a 15 to a secondary playmaker. Steward isn’t sat with his head in the sand. SB will have said why Furbank came into the 15. Steward used to play 10, so no doubt he’ll work on that park of...

I actually think we’ve a chance against Saints away. But to get a result we need the likes of Martin, Chessum, Reffell firing on all cylinders. So glad we’ve not risked them.

Good team all things considered - especially the back 3.
Glad we haven’t taken any risks with our returning test players. What’s the point in risking injury when they’re not 100%.
Their team especially the bench is ridiculous mind.

If so, I think we’ll regret losing Scott. It’s as much his desire to move back north as anything Think Scott was always slightly underrated. When we had him and Moroni, always thought he was the better attacking player, used to run some lovely lines. But now he’s 34, can’t blame him or the club fro...

Re: JVP
Agree on Whiteley, think he’s actually a really good player for someone who isn’t first choice. He’s also very good at getting some tempo into the defensive line at times and making crucial tackles. Feel like if YBY is here next season then he needs to be playing at 100%. He was poor against Glouces...

Re: JVP
Add in Quirke too, who if he can stay fit I actually think could be better than both. Either way you’ve got three quality 9s.

If the rumoured outgoings are true I’m glad that it seems the club are being a bit more ruthless on letting players go. Dolly for example. Fantastic player but has only played twice this season and last. We’ve now got FTT and Vanes coming through who could both be special. Same with Cokansiga. Why k...

Whatever did happen to the rumours of us bringing in Spink?

I’d rather keep Kelly over Cokanasiga. There was always the rumour about us bringing in another centre. Guess it depends on Guy Porter because I doubt we need more than four centres.

I hope Kelly returns to form. Kata is great but his impact off the bench is missed. Perese starting at 13 and then Kata off the bench would be so good I reckon Kelly will be off at the first opportunity- he’s gone from fringe England 12 to out of form out of the reckoning 13. Next season he’ll be o...

100%. Shilcock is class at 15 and right now deserves to be starting there. His handling just makes things happen.RagingBull wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2024 10:07 pm I feel we need to start a back 3 of

Same as Furbank at 15.
Just having a playmaker out wide makes things happen.
