Re: One year ago 18 June 2022
A certain Mr J White just there as a Peacekeeper... I think he was just there next in the queue - " me next" :smt040 The queue to have a poke at Dayglo would have stretched far down the Aylestone Road! True, although this match was at the home of Wycombe Wasps, not to be confused with Lof...

Re: Next season Champions Cup - 2023/2024
Just seen this on twitter "When you combine the finishing position of each team in their respective comps (the lower the tougher), the first 3 pools are 31, 31 and 30. Pool 4 is 16." And don't forget that the pool includes the two finalists from the last two seasons. Even with 4 teams goi...

Have a draw for a cup and find out who we play but they don’t provide dates for the games, even ‘weekend of’ let alone whether it will be home or away. I just don’t get it.

Given the turnover in players, they probably need a lot of time to get everyone onto the same page physically and tactically.longlivethecrumbie wrote: ↑Tue Jun 20, 2023 8:39 am There were some social media posts from Exeter about them being back for pre-season this week

Re: Exiles set for Exile?
Since there is now no A league games how many players do you really need per squad. Allowing for injuries and assuming the useless gin swilling people at the RFU realise that you don’t need to play premiership games during international week-ends I think probably 30-35 is enough. If the average sal...

Re: Exiles set for Exile?
I do find it amazing that the club itself has no funds at all to pay its staff & the payroll comes direct from the owner, that is a business that isn't a going concern. Isn't that basically all clubs in the English Premiership? Club "We're running out of money" Owner/Shareholders &quo...

Andrea Pinchen Interview
https://youtu.be/Vt1MlhMxzb8 The intervew is one of a series (of 2 so far) about being a CEO. While it doesn't really tell us anything new, it reinforces the view that I got of Andrea in the various interviews she was involved in with LTTV when she became CEO and during Covid. Basically, a good per...

Re: Draft system pondered by URC
This follows on from the discussions on a couple of threads, the Champions' cup semi , for example. The URC are concerned about the gulf between top and bottom of their league; Zebre lost all 18 games, Leinster lost 2. They are suggesting that players may be drafted in from the English premiership ...

I would support any team against Sarries, in any competition, with the possible exception of Leinster. And then it would be a toss up, depending on the general situation at the time.RagingBull wrote: ↑Sun May 14, 2023 4:53 pm I am going to be supporting Sarries in the final tbh lik

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2022/23 Squad and transfers thread part 2: The Lion, the Wig and the Wardrobe
Was listening to the BBC Leicester podcast with the Tom West interview, I agree with Chris Egerton he talks after reading between the lines that West had signed for Saracens possibly before he joined us. I wonder if Sarries had actually stepped in as soon as he signed for Ealing? Or did Sarries com...
