Re: Wasps report £3.8m losses and rising £43m debt
Guessing the following might have had an influence on PwC's decision to resign: "During the year, the group failed to meet one of these covenants following an audit adjustment which resulted from a capital contribution from the group's shareholder being incorrectly treated as revenue based on e...

What a shambles Whatever you think about the quality of work carried out by the ‘Big 4’, you would hardly expect a middling firm to make improvements or be insistent on making changes. PWC could ...

Re: Wasps report £3.8m losses and rising £43m debt
Not really, if their tax year is the standard March - April, they will have until October to file the accounts and until end of December to pay any taxes. Wasps Holdings Ltd (main trading company) - accounts to 30 June 2017, due at Companies House by 31 March 2018 - now 1 month late. https://beta.c...

Re: Matt Smiths disallowed try
Well the knock-on law says this: A knock-on occurs when a player loses possession of the ball and it goes forward, or when a player hits the ball forward with the hand or arm, or when the ball hits the hand or arm and goes forward, and the ball touches the ground or another player before the origin...

Played in 2013-14 - scored 2 tries, home and away against Perpignan.MrPartridge wrote: ↑Mon Oct 09, 2017 1:44 pmOut of interest.. anyone know. Is this May's first ever 'tier-one' European club match?
Also in 2011-12 - scored 3 tries, 1 against Connacht and 2 against Toulouse.
So he's got a decent record of scoring against French teams.

Re: Double jeopardy - penalty try and sin binning
You could argue that if a penalty try has been given, then the player's actions have not "prevented a try being scored". In fact, it would be true to say that the player's actions have actually caused a try to be scored, which is quite the opposite. Therefore, according to the law, no yel...

Re: Double jeopardy - penalty try and sin binning
The wording of Law 10.2(a) Unfair Play - Intentionally Offending is: A penalty try must be awarded if the offence prevents a try that would probably otherwise have been scored. A player who prevents a try being scored through foul play must either be cautioned and temporarily suspended or sent off....

Re: Premiership and European Fixtures for next season - 2017
Oh 7th July. I read it as June. Blast. As you were. To be fair, that was the first mistake I've ever made, so I was due. I apologise profusely for having done a Noddy. No, you were right first time it is in June - it's just that the draw is on Thursday 8th June - so tomorrow. :smt003 The Champions ...

Re: We were all going to Twickenham until ....
We stole their line out - great. Should have been game over. Stuff the ball up the jumper time or send it 80 yards down the field and make them run it in from there. Harrison took his eye off the ball, literally, began appealing to the ref with his arms outstretched (presumably trying to milk a pen...

Does anyone know Genge's contract status? http://www.leicestertigers.com/news/24716.php#.WNuvJ28rK71 Doesn't say anything about the length of the contract - other than it is longer than the three month loan period. Then there's this from the Mercury, the headline of which implies more than one year...
