Re: Wasps (A) PRC - 20th November 2021 13:30 ko

Shame some fans are moaning! Let’s not forget not long ago we put out a much weaker side in the cup v Wasps and got hammered! As we have a rest week next week some players need game time: we didn’t play George Ford, Dolly, Genge, Youngs, Montoya, Moroni, Wiese etc due to rest and internationals: Bur...

Re: Hope we get out for Sinfield

The schedule for Leicestershire is: Leicestershire route details: Stage 1. Leave Mattioli Woods Welford Road stadium via Welford Road and head through Leicester city centre via Grey Friars. Turn right on to High Street then left up Church Gate and St Margaret’s Way. Continue along Abbey Lane before ...

An excellent team for Saturday. I hope we don’t do what Sale did last week but bet Steve Borthwick will try to make sure there’s no complacency. As others have said, Wasps, despite another awful injury list, remain a dangerous side.
Should win but for me another win will be brilliant.

Re: George Fords Departure - Why ?

I think the point some of the fans who are forwards are making is that if the pack is one of the best then a good to very good fly half can prosper. I was a back and agree Fly Half is very important but we won a lot of games last season against good teams without George! He’s going: I will cheer on ...

You mean George Ford! He might as well play this week end!
Now maybe folks who moan about Ben Youngs will now really appreciate his loyalty!
As for the best fly half I’ve ever seen for a Tigers: Joel Stransky.

Re: George Fords Departure - Why ?

Always liked the way George played the game going right back to his days in the team as a youngster. I did think at a couple of games this season, particularly Saints away that he seemed detached from us fans calling our thanks to him and the squad doing their lap of honour. He will want his place b...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Lord of the Mauls

Ford might stay. If he doesn’t Hegarty could well be an answer and get McPhillips back.
On the other hand, get Genge on board (Bristol sniffing around) and Ford will want to stay to add to what I be,I eve is his only winners medal, with us V Saints.
What will be will be!

Re: Sale - Home Prem Cup 13th November

Just got home feeling so ecstatically proud of the whole squad and us, the crowd.
Not fair to single anyone out as the whole club we’re immense today.
Thanks you Tigers and to cap it off: Freddie Steward Man of The Match. Brilliant

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Lord of the Mauls

Article in today’s Telegraph saying Ford has been up to Sale and been in talks with Sanderson! George is a true professional and will have talks with plenty of clubs as his contract nears its end. He will play to his best for us and he will hopefully remember his time at Bath!! Went well for one sea...

Re: Sale - Home Prem Cup 13th November

A very strong Sale side which surprises me as you’d think they’d want to rest some players too!
It’s a great opportunity to see what the young lads can do and will stand them in good stead!
I will be at Welford Road so hope those of us there really get behind the team.
Nothing to lose but all to gain.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Lord of the Mauls

Have to remember the Sale squad were the first to” accept 25% reduction in salary for the long term” so France has to be the option for George if he doesn’t get back in the England squad! All clubs apart from Quins and Saints would be interested in George: which is great news for us for this season ...

Re: Stadium Red Zone

With the way Covid cases are I’d rather keep the players as safe as possible. Freddie Burns was very good with us fans at Northampton but when he offered me a selfie with him I decline for two reasons: 1) to keep him safe though I’d no sign of Covid 2) I told him my wife wouldn’t want me on with him...
