Re: Salary cap breach confidential settlements
Just registered on Shedweb as Glaws are on telly tonight played an alleged breaches. Suggested they employ one of their favourite chants (it never stops when we play down there :smt002) when Sarries come out to start the match: Same old Sarries, always cheating. Probably won't happen, but would be n...

Hi all, we're showing the game on a big screen, serving a great selection of real ales, cider, local pork pies, burgers etc. Should be a fantastic afternoon. Proceeds to Leicestershire Rutland and Derbyshire Air Ambulance and ProstAid. http://www.QueniboroughBeerFestival.com Venue: Queniborough Dat...

Re: JDV
I am almost getting bored of typing this: The fact that Tigers have consistently been in the market for a one year deal for a 12 this summer is a pretty clear indication that they think they have got the player they want for next season. They were prepared to spend big, but the right man isn't avai...

Disagree. The meaningful (rather one-sided) debate has reinforced the preposterousness of the original post on many fronts.biffer wrote:Except this oneCagey Tiger wrote: Even preposterous ideas can generate meaningful debate.

Rats :smt019 I normally Park in the car park next to Vicky Park and the De Mont. Got caught out earlier on this year by the flipping Gay Pride march as they were using it as a Park & Ride. Now, for the Marathon it looks like the park will be the home for all the starters and will take over the ...

Re: ONLY a British league can save English rugby!
England have fallen further behind since 2003 Just to highlight one of the many poor arguments, given England won in 2003, going backwards was always likely, especially with all the retirements. And as no-one has yet retained the WC, all past winners could be said to have fallen behind after winnin...

following on from this and my earlier post about most people improving after a while, I'd forgotten about Dawson. He's got worse, difficult I know.fleabane wrote:Ugo is on a par with Dawson. That is not an endorsement, but Ugo may improve. Dawson hasn't.

Re: ONLY a British league can save English rugby!
Once again I find myself moved to post on this subject. I value varied opinions but find most of the posters are taking tommy rot to new heights. This will never happen and the strand should now be closed. You do a good line in high handedness Noddy555. Who are you to decide when a topic should be ...

With a smaller squad, it could well be a case of live fast, die young.

I notice that he neither confirmed nor denied it, but ended by saying "until the ink is dry on the contract, nothing is certain." He also seemed to be having to think about how he phrased his answer. This would suggest that they are in talks, but still a way from being sorted, yet.

Re: Ref for Sunday
Also just found out that he refereed the Newcastle v Gloucester game last week. Apparently "Dean Richards refused to blame referee Tom Foley for Newcastle Falcons' 39-27 loss to Gloucester, hammering the discipline of his own players", Billy Twelvetrees slotted 9 penalties as a result. Ti...

Re: Monye on Rugby Tonight
Most ex-players/competitors in all sports start off being pretty poor when on a "chat" show, as opposed to being "expert" commentator. Many improve tremendously, with the notable exception of a certain Mr Healey who has been knowledgeable and obnoxious in equal measure all the ti...
