Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work
Thing is Scott isn't really slowing down, so I don't really care if he's 30, 34 or 24. We've had great success with worrying about if players are good enough & ignoring their age recently. We should never sign or release someone purely on their age. Think we would all be happy for Matt to stay....

Re: Trailfinders a sad indictment of rugby
I am sure the powers that be in Premiership have run the numbers but for me the talk of growing the sport contradicts what happens with TV rights. I think a deal with a free to air channel would more likely attract new people to tune in to see what rugby offered, and then maybe, hopefully stay with ...

Re: Next seasons season ticket
There have been comments suggesting people should not raise difficulties receiving information from the club on this messageboard. The benefit of doing that is that it reveals that others experience the same problem. I have as far as I am aware received all.emails sent to.me by the club but I do kn...

Re: Next seasons season ticket
I guess that the stuff coming from the shop is generic and is already in place. The renewals are specific to an individual and there would appear to be a glitch in the system processing the data and sending it.. ....these things do happen and the club have acknowledged it. Hang in there Yes, I'm go...

Re: Next seasons season ticket
Sorry why should I have to chase the club to send me the information for the bill they will be sending me (if they ever work it out)?!? Like has been said - great pre-emptive email from the CEO - horrible execution and yet they keep sending emails out touting for sales in the shop…not a good look. ...

Re: Next seasons season ticket
Playing devils advocate, did the club phone any ST holders on here and offer to pay any of your bills during the shutdown ,and other times when folk were struggling? Ah but the devil is in the detail Scott, however well advocated. I didn't provide any seats in my sitting room for players to sit in, ...

Re: Saudi Arabia in talks to buy stake in Tigers
Are we reading this right, is it not that they have approached 4 clubs hoping to secure just 1? :smt017 What I have read is that there were earlier conversations with the 4, then things went quiet for a while, and there has now been a further conversation with 1 of the 4. Other way around according...

Re: Saudi Arabia in talks to buy stake in Tigers
Im not funding 4 clubs will benefit the game - clearly it will for the 4 involved. Whilst highly unlikely, it would be better if the funding could be shared across the top two divisions, perhaps in exchange for naming rights to the leagues and a shared academy structure in Saudi - including women's...

Re: Saudi Arabia in talks to buy stake in Tigers
Excellent points - I don’t believe they are allowed to own more than 10% of each club. We own the ground but don’t own the training ground - maybe they will build us a new one?? They may also pay for rock bottom 🤣😂 Paying for Rock Bottom has to be 1st on the shopping list, then in no particular ord...

Re: Tigers v Quins (A) - Premiership - Friday 26th January 2024 - KO- 19:45
I don't buy into the lucky tag attached to our win too much. A little bit of luck maybe, but it shouldn't be overplayed. We scored more points than them so we won. If the boot was on the other foot and Pollard had missed that last kick to win I bet many who now say lucky would be saying poor basic s...

Re: Tigers v Quins (A) - Premiership - Friday 26th January 2024 - KO- 19:45
Never rains but it pours for Tigers! How unlucky to have Hurd, Reffell and Henderson all out for this massive game. I’m off to Quins but I’ve never played prop so won’t take my boots: too old anyway!! Definitely not recommended even if you wanted to Ian. I once propped at TH against the RAF LH. Onl...

Re: Tigers v Leinster (H) - Champions Cup - Saturday 20th January 2024 - KO: 3-15pm
I suppose the way I look at it is that if Ireland beat England or any other international side by that margin then it would not be seen as a disgrace or even a surprise. The disappointment is only in that it could have been even better from us. I have been thinking similar in the last few days. If ...

Re: We need to talk about Handré
The wind will have been a huge factor for the kickers on Saturday. Both sides had inaccuracies and both scrum halves kicked too long with the wind behind, and too short kicking into the wind. Throughout the match I could see the 2 flags on top of the Crumbie blowing in 2 different directions. Pollar...
