Re: Tom Youngs Charged

Some people forgot Neil Back’s push on the ref in the final v Bath: we were there and it was no accident. I’ve heard other Tigers swear at the ref in years gone by but it was usually quickly answered by in a witty way by Sir. Nigel Owens is very good at handling such aberrations! Sadly I booed the ...

Re: Tom Youngs Charged

Should not be swearing at a ref but perhaps it is symptomatic of the increasingly evident unpleasantness within the game. To be blunt I am growing tired of today's pro players and coaches. I much preferred the days when a bit more humility existed amongst the likes of Wilko and Robinson. Only scrum ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE VI: The Return of the Burns

All the fans calling for an " international quality star lock" to be signed presumably will never blame Tigers when Martin, Henderson, Chessum etc move on and are performing well for another team. There is a salary cap, money is limited we need to spend it wisely, lets spend it where we a...

Re: Yellow Cards At The Scrum

Flatman was on commentary for the Bristol match and he said that he thought Leicester had come through not straight on one penalty that was harsh against Bristol near the end, he knows a bit about scrummaging and I guess opinions vary.

Re: BRISTOL (H) - 5th June 2021

Nope .... ball was out .... came out down the 7 channel. You only get a penalty try from a scrum if you are 1-2 metres out and they infringe - Bristol were wise to that...:::. But Tempest should have given a yellow card at the 1st scrum and we would have had 2-3 minutes against 14 men. Weak reffing...

Re: Bristols bloodgate?

Perhaps what happened was nothing to do with trying to cheat in this match but more about future matches. Having lost Sinckler to injury before the match today then Afoa becomes an even more important player and maybe having been sat on the bench with muscles stiffened Afoa's coach simply did not w...

Re: BRISTOL (H) - 5th June 2021

Just why didn't we let them go down to 13? Big Jasper off the back, suck 'em in and Wallop. I thought similar. Did not get why Leicester would want Afoa back on after a rest, the scrums had not been straight enough to push for the penalty try before and so was unlikely to get any better with him ba...

Re: Worcester (A) - 29th May 2021

What I noticed were the huge Worcester kicks and awkward bounce' on that plastic pitch. Do not fall for the utterly ridiculous on here, no one was pushing anyone out, it was just how the game took shape. Those plastic pitches can shape a game very differently. The Goode/Farrell combo at Sarries say...

Re: PREMIERSHIP ROUND 20

When the league starts I expect that everyone thinks they can win it, but I reckon some players with little left to play for could find it tough to get motivated towards the end of the season with no relegation and might just be going through the motions. Coaches might start trying to plan and try a...

Re: Worcester (A) - 29th May 2021

Worcester were the better side first half in my opinion, building phases they moved Leicester around.
Cole coming on made a huge difference slowing ruck speed.
Genge' finishing, superb.
Good comeback.
