Re: Denton
I haven't seen enough of Denton in recent times to know how good a signing this is. Strong player before he went to Bath as far as I recall but not played a full Premiership season, plus potential internationals. A bit concerned about the talk of a smaller squad, all things considered. Worcester bea...

Re: Fans forum 13th Feb
These open forums are a big yawn, a bunch of people sitting around attempting to avoid reality, I'd rather watch a broadcast by the Liberal Democrats! I'm not surprised MOC could've been misjudged as looking disinterested, Harry Houdini couldn't magic his way out of this without seven figures being ...

Re: The Six Nations Thread
As I said on the Haskell thread, he would be a brilliant addition to the Tigers squad/team. Yes he has an ebullient personality, but so what? Rugby clubs have traditionally dealt very well with players from all walks of life, with all manner of personalities. Never an issue, providing you are a tea...

Re: The Six Nations Thread
Brown had a good game but not sure how relevant that is to when England eventually meet the All Blacks No less relevant than when England last beat the All blacks with Brown playing. Absolutely correct on the face of it, but the match winners and losers on the day the All Blacks were beaten were qu...

Re: The Six Nations Thread
I thought England v Wales was a good match up, but then thought it would be anyway as both have similar approaches. A few regular personnel missing, Billy V and Faletau etc, more missing for Wales though, forced selection really which I think could be good for them longer term! Brown had a good game...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2017/18 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3!
The changes we made to our Academy a few years ago appear to be working. If Simmonds is becoming a little like Ben Young the is it surprising that he should model himself on a 70 cap international and British Lion, Not sue I agree that White is Sam Harrison but he looks a great prospect. Worth, Har...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2017/18 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3!
We seem to have had many players in the U20's for years now but almost none have stepped up...Wells is almost there and Simmons looks good... But if you look at what Wasps, Exeter and Sarries are bringing up and have done in recent years we are lightyears behind... :smt012 We do seem more reluctant...

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non Tigers 2016/17
Ciprani has announced hes leaving wasps at the end of the season, no news on where to yet, but you'd have to imagine france, shame really he deserved another shot at the england 10, Thought he made Smith look a bit silly yesterday. No other English 10 puts pace on the attack like Cipriani in my opi...

Re: Tigers v Quins
After what I have seen this season I would be playing Manu at 12 with two 7's playing in Evans and O'Connor. Leicester need to come back against the grain more often and I want to see Manu doing that with the two mobile 7's on the park in support inside and out. Likewise in defence with Roberts in t...

Tigers v Quins
Beware Smith has a habit of falling/leaning into the tackler in my opinion, Eastmond red carded!
15 v 15 Wasps tearing Quins apart!
I'd go for O'Connor at 8 with Evans at 7!
Start Simmonds?
Starting 10/12/13?

Re: The battle of the Tigers captains Eng v Wales U20's
I thought the Wales match was a really poor standard of rugby all round, as bad as I have ever seen down the years at this level! A couple of the Quins lads and a couple of London Irish lads looked potential high quality players but beyond those I didn't see much. It will be interesting to watch Eng...

Re: Up next....Premiership v Gloucester!
I thought we missed something like 24 tackles in the first half alone? Yes we did but I was referring to the fact that we didn’t allow them to get the BP I would say with 24 missed tackles in one half, it was probably their inaccuracy that caused them to miss out on a TBP, not the quality of the Ti...

Re: MOC to be sacked?
I think people are over-rating Umaga (unlike Simmons, or indeed White) It is a sad state I know but seeing the youngsters he has brought in such as Taylor and through such as Willis I would tend to agree with whatever Dai Young's level of judgement is! Time will tell and I suspect it's the ones tha...

Re: Up next....Premiership v Gloucester!
Fairly predictable selection which possibly points to it being the right one. I would've been tempted to make some changes but it's easier said than done and it would've still been a big ask at this stage. It's must win, they got here so they can get out of it! I'm looking forward to seeing them mat...
