Re: England v New Zealand
Like many others, after what happened in 2005 I couldn't quite believe what Henry had said in his defence when i read it. From what I've seen of the incident, IMHO it should result in a ban, although given previous cases involving the AB's I'm far from convinced it will. I also can't help but wonder...

Re: Newcastle Prop Substitutions
Newcastle have previous for this going back as far as when Randrew was still there. Prop A would start and be subbed after about 30 mins, only for the replacement to have to go off injured somewhere around the hour mark. By the sound of it, the mistake today was for the coach to be dumb enough to ei...

Re: Barnes
Barnes W may well have given plenty of decisions against us yesterday, with the one that most confused me being a penalty which he appeared to signal for someone raking the ball back to ourside of the ruck with their foot :smt017 but in fairness he also missed Grindal knocking on while collecting th...

Re: Gloucester v Leicester
Having finally had chance to see a match this season, to accuse the players/coaches of playing the wrong tactics strikes me as strange. Many of the mistakes made yesterday were the result of players being ambitious, for example there were many occasions where lost the ball trying to offload out of t...

Re: Flood to return for Treviso game
The rugby piece in today's Times says.. "Toby Flood should return for Leicester away to Treviso on Saturday after recovering from a knee injury" IMHO should is the important word, and therefore makes it recycling old news seeing how Cockers told Radio Leicester the other week that Flood wo...

No prizes for guessing which French organisation has decided on the reduction.

Re: John Steele replaces Barron as RFU chief.
I guess that would be the real test of how brave the Chief Exec wants to be. Replacing him with someone else would be the easy option, getting rid of him because he's surplus to requirements and making a tidy saving on the salary bill along the way would be a real statement of intent, and something ...

Re: John Steele replaces Barron as RFU chief.
IMO he'll get plenty of ridicule if Steels dismisses him as his first action in the job. As I see he can't go soon enough. I suspect he's done too much damage already for it to all be undone before RWC2011 but the longer a replacement gets to clear up the better.

One can but hope that his first action when he takes over is to reduce their number by one.Bill W (2) wrote: Fourthly, he is used to dealing with opinionated idiots.

Re: Leicester Tigers - Guinness Premiership Champions 2009-2010
great game if rather nerve wracking as a Tigers fan. Credit to Sarries for their performance, they showed plenty of determination. For me Parling stealing the lineout at the end to seal the win summed things up nicely - he has been a vital part of the team all season and when it needed someone to st...

Re: The duff ref list gets longer!
Tom Crofts face when he was yellow carded was one of total amazement. and I was thinking i'd missed what had happened. I'm happy to admit Tigers didn't play well today - gifting the opposition 14 points is always going to make things difficult - but to say I was confused by some of the officiating ...

Re: Referees and their language skills
Like many others, for me the French referee's have been by some way the best that I've season of late. When they've been in charge of Tigers matches, the lack of a nigh on non stop "explanation" to both sides has been noticed by plenty of people. I can't help but wonder how much effect it ...

Re: ITV4 Highlights
just been watching the highlights and like others can't say I'm surprised there was little coverage of our game. One thing that stood during the piece on the Insecsts game was how at one ruck Armitage had his hands all over the ball until Waldouck raked them off it with his boot. IMO it proves that ...
