Re: Thoughts on England v Argentina...
England's performance was shambolic. We lacked any sense of urgency until Youngs came on and demonstrated what everyone except those on the pitch could see i.e. a faster paced game was going to put the Argentinian's under pressure. They failed to play to the referee but then again with the way he wa...

Re: What we need to do for next Season
As I said to some of the other tigers fans I met in Perpignan back in December.. There are times when Flood goes missing and his kicking from hand at times is woeful. Dan Carter is almost always 1st receiver and decision maker in the teams he plays in. In games where we aren't dominating up front, F...

Re: Well Cockers!!
Yes, today's performance wasn't good enough. For me some of the reasons for this have been just under the surface for a while and they need to be addressed. However to keep things in perspective... 2004/5 - 1st in league, lost final to Wasps 2005/6 - 2nd in league, lost final to Sale 2006/7 - Won ED...

Re: RFU backtrack
Shambles, what a complete and utter. Pretty much everyone here could rearrange the above into a coherent sentence. Based on what they've done this week I am far from convinced that any of the RFU board could. If they don't like SCW they won't cope with Brailsford either - they're like 2 peas in a pod

I can't imagine many Pirates fans being happy with that suggestion..tigerburnie wrote:Teams like the Pirates could play their home games in a football ground...who's to say the pirates couldn't go to the Albions ground?

Re: Leicester v London Irish
I can recall playing in games where the restart after a conversion was a penalty on the halfway to the scoring team as the defending team had committed and offence just before the try. Given that most kickers have a good chance of kicking the points from there these days, if the referee's made a hab...

Re: How disappointing at the end of the game!
The only time I've seen Tigers do any form of lap of honour is when there's been a trophy at stake. I certainly don't recall them doing it at any away matches. I've never thought of it as bad thing that they don't instead i think it reflects well on their expectations i.e. that they expect to win an...

You can start the rumours as soon as you like..
given his track record for falling out with coaches and team mates, I don't think many would believe it given the well established reputation of Tigers training setup for not tolerating big ego's

once again when Stains are forced to select other than their clear 1st choices they struggle.
Well done Glos, will be interesting to see how they fare this weekend

Re: Today's Game - Tigers v Leinster LIVE DISCUSSION HERE
Passing, Kicking and Rucking For me, those are the 3 things that were under Tigers control that weren't good enough today. It seems to me that Ben Youngs passing was a bit hit and miss today and once again I noticed something that first started during the 6N's - his tendency to pass at best flat if ...

IMO Austin's implied comment about how to deal with him is right...
Julian White
Generally there's no excuse for a player punching an opposing player but I'm fairly sure there would have been a long list of people congratulating him if he'd belted Butch James this afternoon

Re: Thomas The Tank for England, thanks to Super Gran.....!!
LIke others I have reservations about players like Hoppy, Flutey & Waldrom being in the mix for selection. However as Snorbins points out, the rules are clear about eligibility and their track records in this area show that the AB's and Australia make the most of the rules. If it gives England m...

Re: Oh dear, Lawrence Bryce referees tomorrow.
England deserved to lose as they froze at the start and the Irish upped their game. However, my recollection of glaring inconsistencies in the officiating include: Cueto being penalised for not rolling away in the build up to the disallowed try when clearly being pushed back into the ruck by the Iri...

Re: Gatland gobs off again!
Seems to me that Mr Gatland has been spending too long drinking Brains rather than using it. The last thing i'd have thought he wanted to do after last weekends embarrassment in Rome was give them an additional encouragement to perform. I'll be watching on with interest in the hope of seeing one of ...
