Re: Champioship nonsense

Old Hob if you look further back in the thread you will see that I posted a link to an article saying that if Bedford win the play offs Geoff Irvine will contest the decision. Geoff Irvine is the chairman for Bedford and also the Championship as a whole so he must be fairly confident the decision wi...

Re: Champioship nonsense

Oh sorry Hww27 I meant to say was that the problem the season before (curse of me not reading what I've written) Moving on. Newcastle beat Leeds yesterday 15 - 6 which means they win 34 - 30 on aggregate. Which sets it up for a Bedford Newcastle final. Unlike in the premiership the final is a two le...

Re: Champioship nonsense

Disgruntled Notts fan here.. We wuz shafted good and proper. Me and the best mate was musing whilst waiting for the lads to appear in the bar after he game that if Bedford have no intention of going for promotion or modifying the ground to pass the audit then why are they allowed to compete in the ...

Re: Champioship nonsense

As a Nottingham fan I'm really quite offended by the assumption that Newcastle are the only team willing or able to be promoted! Our ground passed the audit and we didn't work our backsides off all season just to be 'not bothered' about the playoffs!! I was at Bedford yesterday and yes we lost narr...

Rumour has it that Matt Stevens is only going on the lions tour to help liven up the parties.

Re: Newcastle

They will have to get promoted first. Stranger things have happened and they were very lucky to beat bedford the other week at home.

Re: New 10???

I will say Jake Sharp at Bedford is playing very well he is being tipped as the best playmaking 10 in england outside of the premiership and when Owen Farrell got his break in the sarries team many saracens fans feel asthough sharp would have chosen ahead of farrell but sharp curently had a broken a...

Re: Callard call for draft system

I saw this and straight away thought it was a terrible idea. The dual registration system is working well, looking through the current england squad Dan Cole, Mako Vunipola, Joe Marler, Tom Youngs, Callum Clark, Chris Ashton, Billy Twelvetrees, Owen Farrell, Tom Johnson and maybe a few more have all...

This is a LV cup match so I don't think it would be included in the season ticket anyway

Re: Leicester playing at Goldington Road

The slope is key at Bedford but I wouldn't say a kicking game would thrive. Bedford are a team that will mainly try and run with the ball when they can. Saracens will have the slight advantage of having been played some pre season games at GR over the last couple of years but also a fair few of thei...

Geologically we are still in an ice age as there is Ice at both the poles.
