Re: Tigers v La Rochelle (A) - Champions Cup - Sunday 14th January 2024 - KO - 3-15pm

More like a Reliant Robin :smt003 🎶 Three wheels on my wagon…….!! Definitely showing some age there! I was just trying to draw the analogy between something very expensive, up to date, and race tuned being pursued by technology, which although worthy enough in its day, has now become obsolete and v...

I must admit to being a little bemused that Simmons is not in the squad. No apparent injury and done well recently. I would have thought another outing could consolidate his hard work and give some continuity that will not be there with returning injuries. He hasn't played alot so shouldn't need a r...

Re: 23/24 Injury/Suspension/Absent International List

Sadly not surprised that tackle whilst he was in the air should have been reviewed and it only was not because it happened in the first 5 mins of the game. In my opinion Pearce bottled it Not for me - just a rugby collision with two players competing in the air And that's not for me. I didn't see a...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work

I think Weise will stay in the Prem. My bet is either Bristol or Sarries to replace "more senior No.8's"who could be moving on. They seem to be 2 of the few clubs who seem to muster up the money to outspend others. No intel, just a hunch.

Over 20 years ago I took a local clubs u16 side down as the invitation side to play in Towcestrians 10s tournament. As the only non Northamptonshire side we upset a few by coming away with the trophy. In our squad was a certain English tight head I'm not surprised they were upset if you entered an ...

I don't think even Yorkshire can do talking Rhinos
If they could, the first thing they would say would involve telling you they were from Yorkshire.
Indeed! I have 2 daughters in law from Yorkshire, and I am from Lancashire. Deep joy!!

Were there any baby rhinos called Ellis? 😝
No but Jasper seemed very happy trotting around where he was when I last saw him and gave no indication he wanted to leave !! :smt038

My wife and have have been to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park today with our Grandson. We were intrigued to see they have a Black Rhino called Jasper. We had a Deja Vu feeling as if we had seen him before :smt017

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work

We made a loss last year didn’t we? Raising the salary cap other than by inflation is an error in my view. Yes Sarries and Bath have wealthy benefactors that will spend up to and beyond cap but others including Tigers are still in a financially precarious position. The league has lost 3 clubs in a ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work

Some poor lineout drills .. that Saracens had obviously done their homework on .. Clare got a bit spooked by it . Actually towards the end with Dolly throwing to Henderson it seemed to improve slightly.. also Have to say Otoje played and absolute blinder .. just hope our returnees play with as much...

Think I might record the rest of the game to watch later.
And then not watch it.
We have visitors (luckily it seems) so I was planning the same. I presume a fightback and a 21-24 win is me just being optimistic...or daft!

No but just take time to think. No expectations and hence no sadness if we lose. But if we win..... oh what joy and the enjoyment of a few sherbets afterwards.

Re: Are Fans welcome at Tigers?

The flooding in Derbyshire stopped us travelling to the match on Saturday. We normally get the train from Matlock. Our seats back onto the Final Whistle and we usually spend some time there after the game. I have noticed a general trend of fewer people staying on, although sometimes it is busy and f...
