Re: 6 Nations 2022

Italy looked pretty good for most of today with a couple of flat periods. Wales didn't do enough in the first half when they were much stronger. They were too busy looking for tries and the bonus point and didn't concentrate though on keeping the scoreboard moving. Wales probably should have had ano...

1 Scottish try with a dubious forward pass.

No idea why Italy didn't get a penalty try in the 72nd minute after the maul collapsed having gone 6.5 of the 7m to the try line.

Re: French Rugby 2021/2022

To say I was surprised at the defeat of Toulouse at Wasps would be an understatement. Shocked would be the word. They are undoubtedly missing Antoine Dupont who has an unspecified injury. Neither of the scrum halves this afternoon are anywhere near the level of Dupont and I hope the club are active...

That's not how the laws work...

And he was never high enough to realistically compete therefore he shouldn't be there at all

Re: Yellow Cards At The Scrum

Unlikely to opt for uncontested scrums - the laws were changed to make this an unattractive option. If you have no fit front row sub to come on (or back on) then you cannot replace them - you go to 14 men if it means uncontested scrums. We all recall Wasps doing this once Tigers pack got on top of ...

Re: Worlds Highest Paid Players .......

Look at the falloff from 1st to 4th in the World, let alone down to squad players who are barley out of the academy fullback/wing: £1m -> £550k (-45%) centre: £780k -> £420k (-46%) flyhallf: £1m -> £600k (-40%) scrum half: £620k -> £350k (-45%) prop: £480k -> £300k (-37%) hooker: £500k -> £200k (-60...

I think a certain Martin Corry might disagree.

Moody wasn't too bad a jumper either - he did take the line out in the WC just before that dropgoal

Forget the turn over, holding on our sealing off - what the hell was the French full back doing instead of getting it off the field???

Re: Pacific Island teams for Super Rugby

Could be a nice spot for Manu. Way overdue, now all it needs is for the Top Tier 1 teams to play there, stop stealing their talent etc etc.. I believe that for the PI teams get a lot more money from playing the autumn internationals in the northern hemisphere than they would from hosting a tour for...

Re: Injury/Suspensions List

Willemse got 2 weeks?! What?????!!! Stated it was only "contact with the eye area" not either "intentional contact with the eye" or "reckless contact with the eye" and insufficient evidence to the contrary meant it only went in as a low end breach at that. So 4 weeks, ...

Re: Rebuilding England By The Pound

Charles Piutau played U20's for both Tonga and New Zealand. Unless they’ve changed the rules, playing for a country’s first or second level team stops you playing for another country. The Saxons were England’s (do they still exist?) but there’s been no Wales A for many years, so it’s their under 20...
