Re: Wasps in the mire - now in administration
Stadium MK... :smt017 :smt003 Funnily enough Stadium MK is almost exactly the same distance from Saints as the Ricoh was from Tigers Maybe Bicester would be good with direct trains to London, Oxford and High Wycombe. They do already have a club but I think they are tier 6 or 7. And a stadium? The K...

Re: Wasps in the mire - now in administration
I don’t really agree with forcing them to stay at the same venue which would guarantee continued failure is the right thing to do. Provided that Wasps can pay off ALL their debts, I’d be happy to see them at the bottom of the championship at a new location, albeit with suspended PShares. For my mon...

Re: Wasps still in the mire
The problem is not that a once great wasps team has gone to the wall, rather it is around 100 ish (?) people losing their jobs, through no fault of their own. I don’t suppose Dallaglio mentioned them , or their counterparts at Worcester.

Re: Tigers v Sale (H) - Saturday 08th October 2022 - 3-00pm
What I have no doubt about, is that our coaching team and players are working very hard to sort this out. I think criticism of the former especially is a little unfair after the heroics of last season, and particularly after only 5 games of this season. To be honest, I cannot see anyone better to d...

Can only say…”well done Saracens”.
The score line was probably fairy nuff. It was painful, but much better early season against a squad with about half our first choice starters missing and on a pound stretcher plastic pitch.

Re: Rd 4 Premiership games - 30th Sept to 02nd October 2022
For my money we had three world class backs last season Ford, Moroni and Steward. To lose Ford may be regarded as unfortunate, but to also lose Moroni looked like carelessness. Thank goodness we didn’t also lose Steward.

Re: Worcester’s woes
I hope this can be resolved although the rumours do not sound encouraging, however, what ever the out come of this, both Wuss and the Wasps situation need investigating and precautions, or a system to help, must be put in place. It seems nothing was learnt from the previous similar problems, of whi...

Re: Wasps still in the mire
I was going to say it’s a little inappropriate to be picking over the bones before the turkey has died, but now the thread on the wasps unoffy has taken a curious turn… it’s looking increasingly terminal. Seems the wasps owner sold his interest in the new wasps training ground just before bond deadl...

Re: 4Ed Cycle Ride
Don’t tell the boss but I popped out to see the Gloucester lads on route. Geez it was hot, but it was well worth it, and it was lovely to see Ed looking well, and dealing with everything and everybody in such an open and impressive way. It was also interesting to be reminded how physically big even ...

Re: Wasps still in the mire
Wasps structure is thus: Wasps Holding is the top co. It is owned off shore by a Maltese company ultimately controlled by Derek Richardson. WH owns three companies: Wasps Finance, Arena Coventry Ltd, IEC Experience mangement. ACL is the management company of the area, it posses the 250 year lease o...

Re: Aus v England - 09th July 2022 - Team to save Eddies job!
Agree with the sentiments around Smith. Fabulous player but I wonder if he can control a game at test level. Obviously I'm biased but if George Ford had played in that side yesterday, with that much front-foot ball, I'm convinced that England win that game. That's not to say it's all down to Smith ...

Re: Premiership Final v Saracens - 18th June 2022 KO 15:00
This was a game Sarries definitely could have won and will feel was snatched away from them. The expressions on their faces at the end were of utter shock, before the tears cut in. Farrell as a professional came out and faced the cameras. Who’d be a captain? Watching it live it went past so quickly....
