Re: May in; Slater out!

On reflection I think May is obviously a very good signing on the face of it but also Gloucester might've just got much more competitive. A new coach, Ruan Ackermann added on the back row, Moriaty had the summer around Lions test players, Trinder fit, Jason Woodward and Owen Williams added, Rapava R...

Re: Manu sent home

I don't doubt that many do care but all, no way, that much is obvious!

Re: Manu sent home

If he has got issues with alcohol, then first he has to admit it, and then he must be helped. Too many on here are quite unforgiving and want to get rid of him. On the pitch he has not let us down and injuries are not his fault. Let's get behind him and let him loose on the premiership some sense a...

Re: Manu sent home

Manu is an extremely talented rugby player, he could be a truly great player but at this stage it's only could. No player is that good that they can afford to be lax in their attitude if they want to become a great. Everyone wants him to do it for Tigers and fans of other clubs want to see him doing...

Re: Manu sent home

Unbelievably short memory on this forum. Hartley has let Jones down he was banned for six weeks whilst England Captain for striking Sean O'Brien and lucky for him that ban ended just before the start of last season's six nations. Jones should not have stood for that but he did, in my book he is a h...

Re: Manu sent home

Could not agree more. Selective opinions, IMO! You are missing the point here, if lads can't follow orders then trust will not exist! Rugger players are often asked to go out onto the pitch and make the opposition uncomfortable, if they do naughty things to achieve this then gaffers rarely care how...

Re: Manu sent home

Eddie Jones is a complete hypocrite, he turns a blind eye to someone who has been banned many times for an accumulation of some 13 months due to offences committed on the pitch and sends someone home for drinking once whilst off the pitch due to so called " cultural issues" . Could not ag...

Re: Manu sent home

If it's alcohol related, then it's disgraceful, in my opinion. Professional sportsman, given an opportunity to train with the elite, and this is how he shows how grateful he is? :smt013 Absolutely disgraceful - a rugby player drinking beer. Whatever next, a cricketer drinking cider? The shame of it...

Re: Leicester Tigers 2017/18 Squad/Transfers/Contract thread!

Burns definitely improved at Tigers and became a fans favourite, quite rightly given his commitment to the cause. He kept his maverick side, worked on his kicking from the tee and also from hand, whilst also improving his game management. Ford, in my view is way ahead of Freddie though. Ford can't ...

Re: Leicester Tigers 2017/18 Squad/Transfers/Contract thread!

Quick question then, if you were England head coach and you could have Burns or Ford......? Depends on the rest of the team set up really, IMO that's the most important thing. IMO if they do so then England will win the World Cup because of others and not these two. Individually it's not a Burns ve...

Re: Leicester Tigers 2017/18 Squad/Transfers/Contract thread!

Odd iceman as I recall Ford being little more than a steady pair of hands in that game, the special stuff came from others. I think Burns could enjoy playing at Bath surrounded by all that talent with his more varied game. Ford can be too much of a focal point IMO, often running what just doesn't ne...

Re: May in; Slater out!

No doubt May is a very good signing. Letting Slater go is a calculated gamble, he could be a very good signing for Gloucester or not, same with them all, if he stays fit then he will be a great signing for them and it'll be what might've been for us. I'd still like to see a world class lock brought ...

Re: Leicester Tigers 2017/18 Squad/Transfers/Contract thread!

Interesting reading the difference of opinion. Personally I think a fit Slater can be as influential as Manu. Will Slater stay fit, well if Manu can then surely so can Slater! Will either ever reach previous heights? Parling did it for the Chiefs! It's stick or twist! Wow that's a hell of a stateme...
