Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

In terms of signings my personal preference would be 5 more I don't think we will get it though. Van Wyk, Richardson, Carter, Rogerson, Cracknell, Wiese, Wilkinson, Scott, Porter (I hope not), Watson - Out Smith, Beets, Perese, TH Lock, Back Rower, Fly Half, Centre, Wing = In (Hear me out but maybe ...

Considering his age to say that Dolly is past it is genuinely crazy to me. I would even argue Hatherell has been pretty good for us, he's no Wiese but no one is. I thought Hatherell looked great v Quins when you know we had another ball carrier playing with him with Wiese at 8. The biggest problem f...

Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) - Premiership - Friday 29th March 2024 - KO: 19-45

Assistant backs is less work than head coach. You can spin how much you want but Gloucester record under Skivington really doesn't suggest a good head coach or a good team. It's a team on it's day who can give out a :censored: nose to someone but that is every team in the league. The fact we nearly ...

Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) - Premiership - Friday 29th March 2024 - KO: 19:45

That should be enough to see off Falcons. Pace outside, experience in each area, carrying threats, breakdown threats. The team we had out on Friday night should have been enough to see off Gloucester but it didn't. :smt003 Once Pollard dropped out last minute I had concerns. Glaws are a better team...

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester (H) - Premiership - Friday 22nd March 2024 - KO:19.45

If he came out and said it was the flu tbh most people would accuse him of making excuses. IDK if it was a illness or not, If Pollard has the flu then a good chance a decent number of others have the flu. But still doesn't take away from the fact the tactics just didn't seem to exist. Especially whi...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Edwards only really got a chance against Saints at home in Jan 2023, I thought he played really well for his first big game. If I was him though I'd leave, they clearly don't rate him and he's not *that* young any more. From 4th choice he'd need two injuries to even make the matchday squad, so it's...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

It was Ben White or JVP in all reality fighting for Ben Youngs back up. No way White would've played 3rd choice behind JVP or Youngs. Whereas Wigglesworth was just wanting a playing contract not a coaching one that Sarries was offering. The Idea that Wigglesworth was the one who pushed White out IMO...

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester (H) - Premiership - Friday 22nd March 2024 - KO:19.45

I agree - i appreciate that what I am about to say doesn’t seem to fit with DMK style (I’m being generous!) but Kelly at 12 with any of those 3 outside would be balanced. Kelly led the defence that season under SB from 12 and also offered some game management in their ball in hand as a second play ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

I feel people are harsh on Whiteley tbh Against Quins, Sarries, Bath, Stade I remember him being pretty damn good. Certainly solid. Granted against Gloucester he played more like a flanker than a 9 last week. I don't fully know what more people expect from a 3rd choice 9 I guess. No one of starting ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Sam Edwards being linked to Bristol by Fissler Paul Hill being linked to Edinburgh which makes LDB leaving them very likely On the fence on Edwards, he didn't really take his chances when he got them in the past, Allen seems interesting player. When Youngs retires I expect us to be bringing in some...

If Kata and Scott are fit this might be a game to play Kata on the wing.
