Re: George North stood down from playing

Right, but it isn't the referee's responsibility to look for those things. The responsibility does not fall on the referee if they miss it. The decision ultimately is still with the ref which is a good thing bearing in mind some unscrupulous coaches, players and medic/physios at certain levels. The...

Incorrect, the referee can exclude any player he deems unfit to play, even if the Doctor, Medic, Physio, Coach and Player says he's fine!

This may be the Superfan! TTTE tops the 'most carries' this season (106), above Billy V (91), and i'm fairly sure they all weren't from the 5m line!

Re: Tait...not good enough

Taity is an exellent defender and superb under the high ball, his work rate is outstanding. Unfortunately these days he lacks the physicality or savvy to break tackles and either make a break or put someone else through. One try scored per season for the last 3 years is low for a player who gets so ...

Re: Uncontested lineouts and rolling mauls

defence can't get to the ball carrier without first knocking away the players in front of the ball carrier ...or don't engage, then come round and tackle the ball carrier! ...or don't engage, stand in their way and it IS obstruction! ...or engage and enter into an awesome pushing contest, just like...

Re: Law interpretation

Interesting point about Watsons try ..could a tackle on a player diving for the line,( feet in air, shoulders below feet) be deemed dangerous and be penalised .. because that is the next step for this ridiculous business If you're diving for the tryline then you're expecting to hit the ground, a cle...

Re: England Training Squad- Mike Williams included-TY still

Hartley hasn't played for Saints in the last 2 games and is not in the squad tonight, how injured/fit is he? Jones's faith in George is justified and possibly Taylor, harsh on Youngs especially how he's come out firing this season, but no surprise!!

Re: Law interpretation

Foden only had eyes for the ball Then why did he grab Wade's legs causing Wade to over balance? Foden did not challenge for the ball. There is a perfectly valid reason why players jump and that is to gain height over your opponent to gain possession of the ball. Then comes a responsibility by each ...

Re: What's up with Ayerza

it's not a props fault that he is so good that the opposition have to cheat to compete .. it is the fault of the referees Surely the blame clearly lies with the cheats in the first place not the people who administer the law? To be fair to Garner, he came round the offending side to get a better vi...

Re: The late switch yesterday

I'm not sure it's quite that straightforward actually Bunchy I think it is! Teams always have traveling reserves for this very reason. It's only when the team declaration sheet is handed over (to the fourth official?) that you can't then make changes, and that can happen last minute if need be. Tea...
