This is Falcons cup final, Deano and Wells and co will want this one more than any other this season.

There is a thing called a mirror. Look and thee shall see. Maybe not but then again you might see Roly.ellis9 wrote:Even when Roly is proven to be wrong, he still tries to prove otherwise.

Repetition never proves a point. If the idea is to browbeat the coaches into picking Thacker then I do not think it will work.Roly wrote:Thacker would still have been a better option methinks.Iain wrote:Smart call starting with McGuigan, who will be experienced in scrummaging on that plastic monstrosity.

Re: Harry Thacker
Nice one JG but at 18 he was only 11 stone and 5ft 7ins in height. 1. Keith Wood wasn't playing top flight rugby at that age. 2. Rugby was very different 26 years ago. 3. Harry Thacker isn't 18. 4. (I've self-moderated 4) Noddy are you talking about Keith Wood who played for Ireland and Lions? I no...

Re: Leicester Tigers 2016/17 Squad/Transfers/Contract thread
Both very talented however, I can't help feeling that even the starting All Black team would have their brilliance beaten out of them if given to our current coaching setup. Bundle of joy you are. Just calling it like I see it. What's the point in buying a Ferrari, if your driver can't get the most...

That is not true. IMHO.Noddy555 wrote:Apparently according to a friend of mine who went to the A league match on Monday Harry had a stormer of a game and was easily the best player on the pitch.

Re: The Moaners and Trolls Holiday Home.
I'm with you JG I find it surprising that some not a great number who are members of the forum have never been to a Tigers match, they are part of the unwashed who spend their lives trolling through internet sites provoking others with their inane and often ill informed comments, perhaps we can hop...

Re: Tigers v Wasps
Are we a good side playing badly? Or are we a moderate side playing with little pattern or commitment? We don't seem able to beat the top sides any more and I am not including Wasps in the category of top sides from what I've seen of them. This is the key question. The team that is the most success...

Re: Nottingham!
Has any other major sporting side got the name of another town in prime position on their ground? I was rather disappointed to see that in a plum location on the new stand, facing the main road by which most visitors approach, was 'Nottingham Building Society' written large. I know we need sponsors...

Re: Lions 2017
JG and JTG This week our golf club held a Q&A session with Tigers, GM, MC, RB and BoC attended, I asked why only 5 A team matches, why no A League and how did they keep such a large squad happy? I was informed that most clubs cannot afford an A League. When you add the LV matches you have 9 gam...

Re: Tigers away to Falcons...
The sooner we put the Wasps match behind us, the happier I'll be so... We need more passion and 'enforcement' in the pack (so I'd start with Genge, Barrow and Williams) and a play-maker / 2nd receiver at 12 (Owen Williams for me). I'm assuming Tuilagi and Barrow will be fit but not Veainu... 1) Gen...

Re: Tigers v Wasps
Perhaps we are seeing the consequences of our different fiscal model compared with some of our rivals. Rising player wages and fees accompanying the raising of the salary cap and balancing this with development of the ground and former car park must make it difficult for the board. Having said that...

Re: Tigers v Wasps
Thing is that these are the same points that have been raised repeatedly over recent seasons. Looking at the game yesterday then the only player we seemed to have with any real class was JPP although I thought Dan Cole who put in a really good shift. The others didn't seem that interested or fired ...
