Re: Who’s your pick for Lions 2021

May over Stockdale any day of the week. Sound defence, high workrate, one of the best under the high ball and electric pace. Pace scares defences and makes sides think twice about the rush defence - forcing one or 2 players to sweep up behind. Ireland's rush defence was exposed by it. Having one or...

Re: ANOTHER WAVE OF COVID 19?

Even on April 7th at the height of this, less than 30% of hospital beds in London (and far fewer across the country as a whole) were taken up by Covid-19 patients, and that's not including all the extra beds created in nightingale hospitals of which hardly any were ever used. The NHS is not, and ha...

Re: Provisional Premiership Return Date ?

What kind of legal obligation exists and does it apply to all or specific viruses? An employer has an obligation to provide a safe working environment. That doesn't mean you have to be wrapped in cotton wool, it means your employer has to take reasonable steps to protect your health. his is where a...

Re: Provisional Premiership Return Date ?

An employer .... has to take reasonable steps to protect your health...... This is absolutely the correct wording according to the law - from which a number of difficulties arise. Partly because the interpretation of reasonable is a subjective judgement but also because it is most often in the wake...

Re: Provisional Premiership Return Date ?

The government hasn’t specifically singled out rugby so if all goes to plan hopefully the target of July 3-5th is now more realistic. The issues now for Premiership Rugby is to whether host all matches at a neutral venue or continue at normal stadia behind closed doors. Let’s hope the clubs are mor...

Re: NZ Only Super Rugby in the works

What sky channel will these games be shown on and do you know if the games get repeated at decent uk times? I might see if I can get a Now TV pass for a month or two. They’ll be on the sky sports channels it tends to move round a bit. As for times the New Zealand games tend to be on around 8 am due...

Re: Matt Scott

...If so it's far more than we deserve from him after the way the club treated him in the end... Couldn’t agree more, but the same article does note Cockers’ latest signings, including Ben Muncaster. Pretty fair judge of rugby players, that Cockers. Yep, I reckon Cockers has got a good young player...

Re: Provisional Premiership Return Date ?

Rugby will also be one of the last professional sports to start up, given the amount of close physical contact involved.

On his instagram (my bold)... "Massive honour to have played for @edinburghrugby. Would have loved to have won my 100th cap for the club and had the chance to win some silver wear but unfortunately I wasn’t afforded the opportunity to extend my stay here. However, life throws up opportunities ...

Re: Matt Scott

A quick look at the comments on the Edinburgh fans' forum... "I'm gutted" "Me too, if that's true. Scott was different class to our other centres this season, and had an ability to makes breaks none of the others could. We will be duller to watch without him." "Alas, we mis...

Re: Finn Russell

The test for me as an England supporter is, would I rather England have to face Russell or Hastings? I'd much sooner we had to face Hastings. With the combination of players a Lions 10 will have around him, would the Boks rather face Russell or Hastings. I'd put a fiver (and that's a lot for me) on...

Re: Finn Russell

Major error prone, got too big for his boots, they did Ok with Hastings. Russell has an ability to cut open defences in a way that Hastings doesn’t. He’s massively improved his game management and cut out errors since he moved to France, in that his poor games aren’t as disastrously poor as they we...
