Re: End of BT Sport?

Yes they are selling to concentrate on broadband. As long as its not DAZN I'm happy. I'd love it to be SKY ,everything under one roof would be grand! But I expect it to be either DAZN,Amazon or Disney Sorry Scott1, why do you not want DAZN? Can’t answer for Scott1 but as a household we have subscri...

Re: Saints v Tigers - 09th January 2021 - cancelled due to COVID

Why is sport being treated differently to the hospitality industry? A fair question but I guess it is possible for the fans to watch from home. You can't be at the pub at home and watch the bar on TV. You could argue that sport is not being treated differently than hospitality. You are able to have...

Re: Exeter overhyped?

Exeter are deservedly European and Premiership champions AND the only premiership team to have been profitable in the last two full years (Covid excepting as I don't think anything has been published about 2019 finances). https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2019/apr/08/exeter-in-the-black-premiership-...

Re: Now playing at Mattioli Woods Welford Rd

To be honest, I still call the wendyball ground Filbert Street ... confuses all the youngsters. Can’t see me using Mattioli Woods in my lifetime. However, I do think this is a sound and good move - a much needed tonic financially - so fair play to Mattioli Woods. That was close. Two days after calli...

Re: Teams up v Bath

Certainly an interesting side and not what I was expecting, but understand the rationale. Looks like we are using the end of the season as a set of training fixtures for the 20/21 season - probably no bad thing. Europe is a long shot and we’re safe from relegation so why not! Hoping for a good perfo...

Re: Teams up v bath

Whilst massive rotation hasn't gone well for us in the past I'm all for it given the current scenario, we have nothing to loose this season so we might as well blood some youngsters and see who's ready or not, that way we hopefully hit the ground running for next season kpjTiger. My apologies in ad...

Did I miss this in the thread? From Ultimate Rugby yesterday: “Nick Isiekwe (Loan to Leicester Tigers)”

Post here’s https://www.ultimaterugby.com/news/pre ... ts/628690#

I thought this had been disproved? Ultimate Rugby out of date or just me??

Lets be fair - 11+ interviews during lockdown. Coaching changes. Board changes, redundances, squad changes. He has kept us in the loop in an entertaining light hearted but serious manner. No one has appreciated he also has possibly had to take a reduction in wages. And what do a small minority do. ...

Re: Tigers' Players in the Media

In my line of work, during the lockdown, I worked 6 days a week and 12+ hours a day to help my boss and his business survive along with a small band of colleagues who could. I didn't do this to be a hero or a martyr I did it to help the business survive and continue to trade. I feel for rugby playe...

People seem to be giving it as much credence as the Itoje to Tigers rumour, but I for one wouldn’t be surprised.
Does that mean we are getting Itoje then? :smt003

Re: LFC Plc Announcement - Off the market!

Gutted - I'd saved £60 to make an offer as well. Given the uncertainty in the world, rugby and the markets (understatement in all three) it is a sensible decision. Doesn't mean the club won't be put back up for sale in a year or so's time. Let's hope we are a much more attractive proposition by then...
