Re: Tigers vs Gloucester (H) - Premiership - Friday 22nd March 2024 - KO:19.45

Cheers up up guys could be worse we could be Quins fans 😂 My sentiment - could be worse as we could support Quins or Saints, who both got severe hidings this week and came away with very little. First half we showed some intent to play ball in hand more and then seemed to tighten up for some reason...

Re: TV Deal for Season 2024/2025

One other thought around this - if all games are to be screened live then it's likely that we'll see lots of different kick off times so that TNT can maximise viewings figures and have as little overlap as possible. I'd suspect one Friday night game, one midday Saturday, one or two at 3pm on Saturda...

TV Deal for Season 2024/2025

Rugby Inside Line are reporting that the Premiership will stay on TNT/Discovery+ for next season with all 93 matches next season being shown live. https://x.com/RugbyInsideLine/status/17 ... 40750?s=20

Does this signal the end of the Premier Rugby game pass?

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Excellent though not unexpected news re Perese. On Beets personally I would be surprised if we spent cap money on another back rower. If the coaches feel he has the ability then sometimes youth needs to be given its head as Baxter has proved at Exeter. Slight aside a poster asked for explanations o...

Shaping up nicely for some attacking expansive rugby: 1. Smith (age 29) 2. Montoya (age 30) 3. Cole (age 36) 4. Martin (age 22) 5. Chessum (age 23) 6. Liebenberg (age 28) 7. Reffell (age 24) 8. Beets (age 20) 9. JVP (age 22) 10. Pollard (age 30) 11. OHC (age 25) 12. Kata (age 29) 13. Perese (age 26...

Interesting that there's no mention of Eloff or De Bruin in the article but Smith and Perese, as well as Beets, are name checked.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

I get the impression that there will be an evolution in our game over the summer with us looking to attack space more than one out runners into defenders. I also get the impression we'll have a few different ball carrying options rather than just one big wrecking ball. I may, of course, be completel...

I actually think that van Who's scrummaging has been better since McKellar and team took over than it was under Borthwick.

Long term I do worry about Cole and Pollard replacement's. What are you talking about?! Coley is (seemingly) immortal and will be still packing down long after we're all brown bread! In all seriousness, though, I think it depends on your opinion of Hayes. If he's the heir apparent we need to look a...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Leicester Tigers boss Dan McKellar has moved to strengthen his squad for next season with the double signing of NSW Waratahs outside centre Izaia Perese and Wales loosehead Nicky Smith. Perese, 26, who was a member of Eddie Jones Wallabies World Cup squad, has now signed for Tigers and will be join...

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat

Gatland offered to resign. Wales CEO said not a chance. Is that because there's nobody else mad enough to take the job on with the state that Welsh rugby is in? (Slightly tongue in cheek)
