Re: Ealing PRC game info

I’m going to say it now: we were 7-6 so why not build the score.
We aren’t playing well so take every 3 going.

Re: Ealing PRC game info

Lesson to be learned was Exeter at 17-0 down had some easy 3pointers with plenty of time but kept kicking to the corner or taking tap penalties which resulted in no tries!
Build a score and then the pressure mounts.

Re: Ealing PRC game info

I believe Tigers, if we can put out a decent side,we will have a chance to win but I still remember thinking we’d beat Bristol and Bedford! Bedford of course we sent out a ridiculously weak side! Bristol was incredibly poor after what we thought was good preparation. I just think home advantage will...

Re: Ealing PRC game info

Sadly with the injuries, those who can’t play rule and international call ups I just cannot see Tigers’ winning as Ealing are a) beating opponents easily and b) has a settled side that has been playing right up to the Semi. On the other hand Ealing getting to the final will be great for them and Bil...

Re: Ealing PRC game info

Ealing smashing Cornish Pirates and will be confident of beating whatever side we send! Billy Twelvetrees playing today. It will be interesting to see our squad. Personally I’d go pretty strong as we want players ready for a massive game v Gloucester then Newcastle in the Premiership. Leinster is a ...

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat

I must say Ben White again showing how very good he is: quick to the breakdown and great pass.

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat

I too though Marler was the best player in the front row. I too don’t understand why Heyes isn’t playing: it will be just Tigers’ luck that he is selected in the last two games and then gets injured! It’s been that sort of season! Maybe that’s Borthwick’s plan: to keep Heyes fresh for France and Ire...

Re: Leinster tickets

I’m not going to Leinster but for many a season have supported Tigers away from home: I was disappointed some time ago when clubs no longer allocated a whole section of the ground to Tigers! Some of the best atmospheres were at Saints, Gloucester, Quins, London Irish, Bath and Worcester when we away...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work

Carnduff, in my opinion, is along way ahead of our other youngsters as he has a far better all round skill set and, I hope I don’t curse him by saying this, from what I’ve seen of our other youngsters like young Chessum, Carnduff is the only one of those that can hold onto the ball consistently in t...

Re: Other matches - 26th - 28th January 2024

Gloucester now have, for the first time in ages a settled squad with half their first choice pack being out until now. When they come to us we probably( though we should) won’t play the England boys. Newcastle! Diamond will toughen them up and it’s Friday night. One game at a time for me😅! Ealing fi...

Re: Tigers v Quins (A) - Premiership - Friday 26th January 2024 - KO- 19:45

Two things: Scott or Kelly? Kelly has far more pace than Scott: we saw that last week when Scott was chased down, admittedly by the excellent Lowe, but we need Kelly’s speed and if he can stay injury free he will continue to improve. Scott is great to bring on as a replacement particularly in tight ...

Re: Other matches - 26th - 28th January 2024

Ealing Trailfinders again won easily but also letting tries in! Hope we send a strong team to play them! Bristol will have two great wins on the bounce if after Sale they now beat Bath! Saints very much the team most likely to stay in the top 2! Top 4 is going to be a heck of a fight! Just what the ...

Re: Tigers v Quins (A) - Premiership - Friday 26th January 2024 - KO- 19:45

Some more perspective. During and after the game last night the Quins’s fans were full of praise for Tigers. I had said we had the luck on the night! All their fans told me in no uncertain terms that we were the better team and reminded me that compared to their missing players ours had caused probl...

Re: Alan Dickens - Tigers lack of attack coach.

After another intelligent and gritty performance last night I think Mike Brown could do a great job as backs’ coach and MacKellar admires him. In a year or two’s time: Owen Farrell! Contentious maybe but unlike some, and having been at Sarries when I’ve sadly seen them run in the tries v Tigers on nu...
