Re: Tigers v Saracens (H) - Premiership - Saturday 06th January 2024 - KO- 3-05pm

Great win and utterly deserved. Our season is going to be built on that defence. Sarries were harassed, chased and completely demolished in the scrum. No ifs or Dalaglio buts or excuses, our scrum took them to school, gave out the homework and added a detention for good measure. Really proud of the ...

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2022

Sorry, i don’t think I explained myself particularly well. I would never take Farrell over Pollard. Scott is spot on they are a different world apart. But if Pollard wasn’t a thing and we could have got Farrell, then I for one would have loved to have seen him in a Tigers shirt. That will to win and...

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2022

I would have taken Farrell at Tigers before Pollard everyday of the week. He is a natural winner with a will to win at any cost. Reminds me of the same mindset of Rugby and Tigers greatest Captain. Not in talent as Jono was world class but desire to win and willingness to play on the edge. He will b...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work

Wouldn’t surprise me if McKellar has already got players lined up for next season. Hope Hatherall is given a chance to make the eight position his own. Suspect Cronin or Van Wyk will be off and hopefully we have a replacement signed already. Maybe one of Rogerson or Cracknell will also go to give I...

Loving the Cardiff v Bath game. Mrs on lates, kids in bed and a glass of red..winning. It is end to end. Bath should win this easily but Cardiff are sticking to them like glue. Really enjoying be a neutral.

Re: Tigers v Saints (H) - Premiership - Saturday 18th November 2023 - KO: 15:05

Tigers win by about a plus 7 margin. Backs look a good balance of power and pace. Youngs and Pollard together pulling the strings of the Saints puppets with heavy forwards smashing into their unbalanced back row. Freddie ruling the air like a 1943 Spitfire and Tommy Raf snaffling ball like a truffl...

Re: Tigers v Quins (H) - Premiership - Saturday 11th November 2023 KO: 15:05

I am confident that we will win this. 20p on my Ladbroke account shows my confidence. It looks like we are going to put constant pressure on them and play the percentages and territory. Not a fan of Freddie at wing, but I am not a highly paid and knowledgeable coach so I will bow down to what Mr Mck...

Re: Tigers v Saracens (A) - Premiership - Saturday 4th November - KO:15-05

I am not too disheartened by that result. I thought we were going to be on the end of an English cricket score defeat. If we had put all our World Cup stars into the Home fixture of this game and only won by this margin then some would be calling for the head coach to go. Sarries loaded their team, ...

Re: Tigers v Sale (H) - Premiership - Saturday 21st October 2023 KO:15:05

Well hardly the most positive 2 games to start the season with. But not going to get all Dawson Creek and melodramatic. We have 2 rather huge games coming up including a big 5 point bottom of the table clash with Sarries. Something that I never thought I would write. We seem to have lost all that pr...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work

Maybe that’s why Mr Jones was so adamant that he wasn’t talking about Japan and concentrating on the (short lived) Aussie World Cup run. There is no chance we lose our coach to Australia. He just won’t go. It was sent to me by a worried friend and I replied similarly. I can't see him going. You are...

Re: RWC 2023 Fixtures and results

Maybe requires its own thread, but in my opinion we need a 8 nations, not 6. Portugal have been a joy to watch and Georgia are there or there about. There are 10 teams in the Premiership so less game time for player welfare which is the most important thing. Also the Portugals of this world will onl...
