Re: Tigers v London Irish - Teams up
Goneva I believe is better at 13 than on the wing and he offers much more of a threat in attack than Smith so I am more hopeful of a decent performance. Also Williams is a better kicker out of hand than Toby and again hopefully he can keep us playing down the right end of the pitch and not spend ha...

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread 2013/2014 Season
Lets hope Oyonnax have a couple of wins and he becomes available. They have 2 games in hand over Bayonne and are 4 pts behind with, when equal in games played, leaves both with 7 more to play. 2 go down so Oyonnax have to get above Bayonne for any chance for him to become a Tiger. Good info, Trendy...

Premiership / HC strategy
Is there a case to say that we should field an LV-type 23 for the HC tie against Clermont? On the face of it, this will have many people up in arms, of that I am sure. However, considering the pros and cons, maybe this warrants further discussion. Consider the fact that none of the challengers for P...

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread 2013/2014 Season
Shamelessly re-located from the unoffy: "The Rugby Paper say today that Opeti Fonua is on his way and that wee are looking at Christian Loamanu a Treviso franker." Fonua - bit of a unit (understatement) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrDWUGVakB4 Tongan No8, maybe Steeeeeeeeve Mafi had a w...

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread 2013/2014 Season
Regarding Opeti Fonua... clearly, his attributes speak for themselves, having watched a few highlights. The question for me is, if he's playing for a top 14 side, why wouldn't one of the big French sides be in for him, ahead of Tigers? :smt017 Admittedly, I don't get to watch a great deal of Top 14 ...

Letting a lead slip at Welford Road
Maybe some of the 'statos' out there could help me out...
Can anyone remember the last time we got into a 10+ point lead and then subsequently lost in a home game?
Many thanks,

I think it was either Ghandi or CockerillL Smith wrote:I think the fact that the moderators have allowed YBH's diatribe in this thread is a real credit to them. Who was it that said, "I cannot disagree more with your opinion but I would die to protect your right to have one"?

Re: Tigers vs Ulster
The Pienaar point got me thinking - he is "world class" and I am defining "world class" as being of suitable ability that they would get into a current World 23. Who do we think is "world class" in the Tigers team. I can think of one player who definitely is and I coul...

Re: Tigers Catering Feedback.
I don't want to swim against the tide here, but in the interests of credit where credit's due, I lost 2 receipts when I was in the 1880 lounge at the Montpellier game. I was facing the wrath of the Finance Manager so I speculatively contacted Lindley via their website. 2 days later, they sent me cop...

Re: strange Montpellier team
13 of the team you played in Montpellier and struggled so badly to beat. I expect us to slaughter them tonight with a return to the glory days of French capitulation once you take the lead. They have already stated at home that they have no ambitions remaining in Europe this season. On the other ha...

Re: Tigers vs Ulster
To be fair, Pienaar is better than most 9's in the world. On another note, Montpellier's hooker was immense tonight.Greenwhiteandred wrote:No BP - yah.
Definitely beatable - stop the half back partnership and we definitely have the beating of them but we will need the back row to perform as Pienaar is better than YBY.

Re: Tickets for the HC final.
No one is shooting you down, Tiger Eye, you're as entitled to say what you feel here as anyone else. I don't know any of the rivalry between the teams but assumed that it would be intense, as the similar rivalry between certain teams and Tigers here. I don't know - would the majority of Tigers fans...
