Re: The most passionate supporters?

think credit has to go to munster - their travelling support is in my view second to none. i still remember the sea of red shirts at twickenham and how they applauded us as we drove away victorious in the 2000 hc final. within the gp? i like the banter & local rivalry between tigers and saints. ...

Re: Saracens v Northampton at Wembley!!!

tis true, if the sarries official website is to be beleived. i think many saints fans are a bit bemused too, but tickets will be cheap (£10 adult, £5 child) and i guess this is a stepping stone to them tapping into the much vaunted south african londoners population. certainly, i for one am a darn s...

dont beleive the hype

But Blaze could be one of the best lock options when fit. Vesty has been in great form and will cover 10/12 of the EPS if required. Kay has been in form. Chuter and White are in positions with a distinct lack of ready talented players. is he fit? will he be able to get back to the level he was sugg...

Re: New EPS and Saxons

picks like blaze (mainly because he hasnt played in so very very very long) , vestey, chuter, white leave johnson open to claims of tigers bias.

his only defence will be winning pretty much everything.

& sorry to disappoint - but i think you'll find many non-tigers fans will feel the same.

Re: New Zealand : French player in horror shock attack !

Obviously this has nothing to do with real rugby fans. It's thuggery of the worst kind. (And before we go down this tediously obvious route, it has nothing to do with football fans either. I've a pretty good memory, and I can't recall any incident ever, where a porfessional footbal player has been ...

Re: RFU/Premiership in bed with London clubs?

not sure if this is being grumpy, or pedantic, or both but how come optional is spelt incorrectly in kinny's post, but correctly when bj quotes it? no particular problem with the london double header /xmas listings. big crowds cant hurt the game. so long as saints opening against wuss doesnt become ...

Re: Cipriani 'bust-up' in Colorado

Indeed Matt Smith is lauded on these forums as a superstar because he has scored few tries and managed to break into the saxons squad at a similar age. I think what I am trying to say is, if Danny was in a Tigers shirt you would all be praising him as the next Jesus. Just thought Id point out that ...

Re: GP 2009/10 - Transitional?

nice to see the 'love' for saints on the thread - as rugby times said a few weeks back, quite a few of the prem teams talked silverware last season but its only you & us that delivered. saints are on an upward curve at the moment and how high we'll go remains to be seen. but confidence and ambit...

Re: Well played Saints!

well saints have beaten 2 top14 sides home and away already this season (montpellier and toulon) while bourgoin have yet to secure their top14 place for next season so have other business to attend to. now the match has been set for kingsholm i think that will suit us more than them (though getting ...

Re: Tigers v Cardiff...

watched (most) of the game, and it was pretty entertaining. with the blues comeback in the second half they would have been worthy winners, but tigers were too. it did seem to me the shootout was little more than a lottery once the first 2/3 kickers had had their goes. i hope its a long time before i...

nice to see the 'love' for tom on here.... he'll be much missed in my parish (i too have heard the london scottish rumours) in the meantime, there is a legends match at the gardens on saturday 9 th may - matt hampson fund is one of the beneficiaries and austin healey is one of the old blokes dusting...

Re: Saints v Irish

you're welcome? :smt017 we didnt score a point in the second half, but were good for the win. irish resorted to dirty play imho, late / high tackles etc, targeted hartley as we were mullering their scrum ( he went off injured 2 / 3 mins after half time). they should be pleased with the losing bonus ...

Re: London Irish victory......

sean davey has quite an irish ring to it, eh? :smt002 i too struggled with the penalty try. reffing was odd all afternoon, contradictorily combining lots of warnings with quick cards! the streaker was nice enough, mind :smt007 i doubt irish will go much further in the league, and having come so clos...

Re: JM Fernandez Lobbe leaving Sale

i would have liked to see little lobbe come to the gardens to join his big bro. we have some money to play with - matfield never arrived but was budgeted for, spencer is off the books now etc.- but mallinder seems pretty canny on the signings front (hence my interest in the geraghty rumours!) and wo...
