Re: Manu sent home

Perhaps what we should be concerned about is whether Manu would take this attitude to the Tigers training regime. Also note the coordination with/between clubs on this with almost identical statements on both club websites.

Re: Leicester Tigers 2017/18 Squad/Transfers/Contract thread!

Looking at the Chiefs website they are investing in half backs (4) for the next season; only one at fly half but he seems to be the AB U20 first pick. That would give them options if, as they say, Cooper wants DMAC to move to fly half; but who would be the natural first choice and would the other be...

Re: Manu sent home

Allegedly alcohol related with the two going out for a drink in contravention of the training camp rules. Strict but rules are rules.

Re: Leicester Tigers 2017/18 Squad/Transfers/Contract thread!

From what I have read the young man has an interesting choice: stay as third choice AB fly-half and third choice AB full-back, and back up scrum half; or come to Tigers and have a couple of years experiencing all that Europe has to offer in the wider sense. I feel the ABs are throwing ideas at him ...

A wise person once said "be interested in information you can do something with, and let the rest pass by untroubled". On the basis there are 56 pages of rules I will let them pass untroubled and just watch the rugby.

Re: Leicester Tigers 2017/18 Squad/Transfers/Contract thread!

I think Halfpenny is a talented player but how much additionality on top of the current players he would bring is the question, and whether it is worth what would be a significant pay cheque. I would be disappointed if we signed him just because he is available now that others do not want him; we ne...

Re: Leicester Tigers 2017/18 Squad/Transfers/Contract thread!

Assuming it is not an administration error, the website shows the senior squad having 3 fly halves, 4 centres, 5 wings and one full back. Accepting a number of these are flexible players, this at least shows the baseline from the club viewpoint and where additional capacity is needed. You would expe...

Re: On a positive note........

Interesting piece on the BBC website today by Toby Flood talking about how his time at Tigers helped him a lot, mainly in attitude and team spirit. If we keep this culture and blend with a dusting of the "Je ne sais pas" I think we will be OK.

Re: Leicester Tigers 2017/18 Squad/Transfers/Contract thread!

.......add to that the fact he would be joining a very potent back line at WR that could further showcase his talents (if it were needed) and make him even more marketable back in NZ in 2/3 years time........
