Matt Hampson Calendar 2024

I have bought at least one Matt Hampson calendar every year since they were launched. This year I don't seem to able to find them anywhere. I've emailed the club shop and also tried contacting the Matt Hampson Foundation but not heard anything back yet. My partner will be disappointed not to have a ...

Re: PRTV - help!

Been navigating the murky waters of TNT and as an existing Prime subscriber have opted for their offer at £29.99 per month which like the old BT monthly pass can be cancelled at any time. This is mainly on the basis that we don’t need it in the close season and as season ticket holders we’re covere...

Catering at MWWF this season

I attended my first game of the season on Saturday, and whilst I haven't moved my seats, I am now in the Tradeview Markets stand, the "big" stand opposite the Crumbie/tunnel. The catering outlets on the lower tier/ground floor appear to have had a few changes this season, with Korean Bao b...

Re: Supporters buses - Home games

I've just booked some tickets on the Oakham bus for this Saturday's match. What I noticed though was that there doesn't appear to be any buses running on the Market Harborough route this season. I used to catch that bus from Fleckney with my partner last few seasons so if it's not running that will ...

Re: Tigers vs Caldy (H) - Prem Rugby Cup - Saturday 9th September 2023 KO 3pm

I would have gone today but it is my mum's 88th birthday on Wednesday so I went to visit her today. As my username may suggest, my mum is actually on the Wirral and we drove past Caldy's ground (I know it well having lived on the Wirral until 97) on the way to take mum out for lunch, a break from th...

Re: Rugby World Cup warm up games

It's probably been said before somewhere in the previous 50+ pages of posts, however...... I really shouldn't look back with rose tinted glasses on, but as we're on a 20th anniversary of the England World Cup win in 2003, when looking at both the current squad and coaching staff, along with their pr...

Re: Murrayfield - diabolical facilities!

Thanks Tigerburnie, we enjoyed Rose Street on the day before, as I always do when in Edinburgh, some good bars there. I also saw the crowds outside the various pubs on the way to the stadium. I was just expecting at least the equivalent of Twickenham, which whilst not great, at least has various bar...

Murrayfield - diabolical facilities!

I visited Murrayfield last night, for a concert (Bruce Springsteen) rather than a rugby match and being my first visit I had no idea what to expect in terms of facilities (food, drinks and toilets) although having been to Twickenham a number of times for Tigers games I was anticipating similar. Oh d...

Re: Formerly of this parish

Is Freddie being confused with his brother Billy, who plays 10 for Ulster and has put the green jersey of Ireland on in the past?

Twitter is full of people spouting nonsense. This could be another example.

News story on concussion

Not sure if you've seen this story on the BBC news https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-65397908
Could have implications for player availability should this be implemented.

Re: Tigers v Exeter (H) - Sunday 16th April 2023 - KO 3-00pm

Mrs Pollard has put a photo of her and Handré on holiday in the Maldives. Posted 4 days ago and no way of knowing if it’s a recent photo, but heck of a way to travel for a weekend away. Handre posted a photo on Instagram from the Maldives in early March so I doubt the one from Mrs Pollard was actua...

Re: Spurs stadium for next years European finals

Makes no difference to me. It’s a sports stadium with state of the art facilities and excellent public transport links. Excellent public transport links? :smt017 Yes - transport links are quite good, but you need to know your way around London and what train and tube lines go where. The Overground ...

Re: Spurs stadium for next years European finals

I went to the Spurs Stadium last summer for a Guns n Roses concert and was staying over in London as travelling back after the gig wasn't practical. The transport links, especially if you know your way around London, are quite good. It would need to be full to get a good atmosphere. However, one of ...

Re: English/ European Rugby Format & Tech Developments

Regarding the "European Cup" I'm still not sure what the rationale was of including the South African teams. I get that they are already playing in URC, but the logistics of the away fixtures must be a nightmare. Shouldn't their inclusion be caveated with a need to play all games somewhere...

Thanks for confirming the promotion of the Womens team to the top tier. Certainly clarifies the season ticket pricing model now.
